Saban has received credit for the recruiting the best players when the purchasing power of the REC (Red Elephant Club) should have received that recognition. And it continues.

Saban simply instituted. arranged and organized the system. The Red Elephant Club exists.

It's still Bama at this point. That's all the recruits have known since birth. It'll take a few down years for the shine to wear off. Even still, Bama will always be in the top-10 just with NIL spending and resources. Kinda like Florida.

Still won't hurt them. Bama's brand is big and they'll just see opportunity to play immediately - which is what's happening now.

It’s July. Let’s see how many they hold onto.

That was the hope, b/c KDB is one of the best coaches (in terms of coaching, not recruiting) in CFB. If he can also recruit, then that's bad for everyone.

Saban is still involved. And changes in their recruiting draw with depend on how the team fairs in SEC play. Many SEC teams will have their game with Bama circled and highlighted this year.

Is he really though? I've gone over his history, and the man has 4 total years of head coaching at the FBS level. His offenses worked because of the elite QBs he had a Grubb, however they only worked 3 years. His last year at Fresno St with Haener (who was good after he left), and his 2 years at Washington with Penix and a slew of receivers who were good before he even got there. His offenses as an offensive coordinator were slightly above average at best. I believe Grubb was the real mastermind.

Im not saying the dude can't coach, but we've taken basically a 3 year sample size and people are rating him a top 4 coach in the damn country.

IMO, when he hits the field, a lot of people are going to be noticing that Bama aint Bama anymore.

well, because the GOAT is gone that's why

They are doing much better than I thought...

I guess the machine he built will have to endure some losses to get recruits to think a little harder going there

Get a grip and quit complaining about a top 5 recruiting class, please.

no one is complaining about that

just tired of seeing Alabama ahead of us in recruiting, rankings, wins, championships, and Goat coaches, they beat us 7 out of 10 or 8 out of 10 years...we come up just short 1 or 2 plays in half those games

ya dig?

we're tired of it...

I've lived through the Bear and Saban era at Alabama that's a lot of winning for one fan base in one lifetime,

bamas NIL infrastructure is solid

they have money to spend on recruits

pretending they were going to vanish after saban left is foolish

Alabama football is similar to LSU baseball. Different coaches come and go and the program remains strong. Like the poster above said, some of the best facilities, administrative support from the top down. Everybody is all in.

Except they sucked balls until Saban got there. You’d have to go all the way back to stallings. Nothing like LSU baseball.

what happened to fresno state when deboer left to go be the OC at fresno and grubb stayed on as OC without deboer? fresno dropped from 26th scoring offense in 2018 to the 58th scoring offense in 2019. DeBoer came back to be the HC with grubb as OC and Fresno State jumped up to 36th scoring offfense in 2020 and back up to 26th scoring offense in 2021. Meawhile deboer improved indiana as OC in 2019 from 88th scoring offense in 2018 to 42nd in one year. Deboer is what makes the offense go, grubb did a good job running it under deboer's supervision

This is a lie. You think an NFL franchise would hire an OC who wasn’t running the offense? You think Saban would have offered him in 2023?
