In the 4-5th I think Tim Keenan III would be a great pick up. He’s stout, can stop the run, and has a decent initial burst to help push the pocket.

He is who I’d target later, given our other issues on the team.

I kinda dig option 1.
Zion needs to wear a different uniform.
The LSU coaching hires have been insane. Too excited. It’s been way longer than 4 hours. I may need a physician.
I can’t believe I live in a world where he’s back at LSU.

Every season is going to be a blast. From late August until the end of May, we will have the opportunity to see greatness. Football, baseball, basketball all have a person at the helm that can do amazing things.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out he was on his way. He took a beat arse LSU team and in the course of just a couple of years turned it into a team that could compete with anyone. They may have not won every game, but they were competitive, and they won enough to be a consistent tourney team.

The trajectory was there. We were heading in the right direction, and we were probably one more good recruiting class from being at the cusp of really fricking good.

Ya know, this is such a great response.

If you really like sausage, and want to continue to like sausage, don’t ask how the sausage was made. Simply ask when will the sausage be made and be happy with the result.

I’ll go one step further. I can’t imagine going to whatever Gump cousin fricker or aTm blow your yell leader board and they have a well moderated, well populated board for me to speak about my team exclusively, and about the SEC in general.

The gall of some of you is fricking insane.

Same “idiots” built and moderate this place, cocksucker.

Do you go to people’s houses and take giant shits in their living room too?

Yep. I really hope they take the safer and more polished Downs. He addresses the hole at Star.

If not, maybe we get lucky and can land Haulcy in the 3rd.

Enough with the god damn LSU players. It's funny that you think he'll be picked before us. If we traded back some picks, sure, but not at 8
.

The two LSU players that would work are Haulcy and Perkins.

If you went edge in the first, WR in the second, there is a shot that Haulcy may be there in the 3rd. He’d be a great star guy. He’s not Downs, but he’s probably better than Alonte at that spot, given his true football instincts.

Perkins is a guy that will be there in the 3rd and there’s a decent chance that he’d be there in the 4th. As a weapon, used in packages, he would be a really nice piece coming off the ends and 1 gap blitzes where the line twists.

These two guys fit way better than Delane would, given the Saints’ scheme.

WR Edge STAR (S or CB)

I’d move G into the top 3, being the last of the 3 taken.

I think we can do some patch work at edge with a combination of DEs and LBs. it’s not optimal, but I feel like that’s the lean.

I’d be shocked if they didn’t go WR within the first 2 picks. I prefer Downs at the star, and bell at WR. Of course, if a top flight Edge there at 8, you’d have to consider it.
I will do a ban bet that it isn’t Delane. He’s a great player, but he is not the player that fits this scheme.

The 2 best players that fit what the saints do are Reese and Downs.
quote:

Give me Delane over Downs any day of the week. Downs is a good safety but I like our young guys there with Reid leading them. Delane is the shutdown corner all playoff teams need to have to lock up with the opposing team’s WR1.

Cool but that isn’t the Saints defensive scheme and having a guy like that in a defense like this creates giant holes in the scheme the Saints play.
You nailed it, but heaven forbid people look at WR like they look At other positions and recognize that Olave, like Tate, is not a 1.

Tyson and bell are at the top of the list for me. I really want bell because he can be had in the 2nd and he already has chemistry with Shough.

quote:

No receiver in this class is good enough to be a #1 and push Olave to #2.

Perfect example. You’re looking at production and not position. It’s like a dominant RT vs a really good LT. Olave is a dominant RT in this example. He will never be a true 1. He cannot hold up when exploring the whole route tree.

For the price, pretty damn good.
I’m an independent, 0 party affiliation.

If I did the budget, it would be gutted to the bone.

Stop lumping unaffiliated voters in with your parties. Just because someone doesn’t completely agree with you, it doesn’t make them an enemy.
