Saban has received credit for the recruiting the best players when the purchasing power of the REC (Red Elephant Club) should have received that recognition. And it continues.
Saban simply instituted. arranged and organized the system. The Red Elephant Club exists....

Just like last year when they signed 2-3 and only one had modest contribution? They dont grow on trees, and the ones leaving teams in spring are the ones who wont play anyway because they didnt get into the starting line...

Lost in all of this is the real value of a CONTRACTUAL scholarship. Firstly, a free year of tuition is of real subsequent value that brings in potentially very significant lifelong returns, and is also costly to the respective institution. Secondly, it is indeed a contract.
