Well that's stupid. Allen is a freak athlete and really polished for a high school kid.

It's the same old "Lucky is an Alabama fan so Bama players get the higher grade" statement.

I don't think he is really being allowed to recruit until the Miami stuff gets cleared up.

Brown needs to add bulk

I'm guessing you're basing that on the Scout pic? I agree he looks thin in that pic but it's at an angle so you can't get a true idea of how big he is. 247 lists him at 310 and Rivals lists him at 315. If those are true (not always the case, I know), then I don't think he'd need to add that much more weight.

Pretty sure he would come in with 3 years to play 2. I doubt he would have teams after him if he had redshirted last year and I doubt he redshirts this year. So at most we would get 2 years at LT out of him and that's only if Cyrus goes pro after his junior year and Brown redshirts his 1st year at Bama.

So in a perfect world Hill would be our RT and Brown would be our LT in this class. They both leave a lot to be desired. Hill's foot speed isn't ideal and Brown needs to add bulk. We really need to hit homeruns in the 2014 class OT wise.

I don't think Hill would have any problems at RT, after all, there's a reason they are on the rightside and not the left. Every RT has some sort of flaw that makes them inferior enough to keep them from protecting the blindside.

I think LT is just gonna be one of those positions Bama has to go to the JuCo well every once and awhile. This would be the 3rd to do so at the position under Saban. Alabama just doesn't produce many elite LTs, and it's not the easiest position to pull from other states.

2012: Cyrus
2013: Cyrus
2014: Brown/Greene
2015: Brown/ Greene
2016: Greene

I wish Green was this class, as it would play out better. He'd be the starter in '16 and '17 if he doesn't beat out Brown earlier...

He's opened up Miami and NY/NJ for Bama, so that's a positive. He lost Artie Burns earlier this year, and he's recruiting Brown up in NY.

but I don't think OL coaches are hired as "good recruiters", as being a position coach is waay more important. Now if he were a WR coach, you can sacrifice coaching ability to fit in a really good recruiter.

Stoutland isn't completely left out of the process, but he only goes after a limited amount each year. And he still keeps in contact with the OL commits, even though he isn't their lead recruiter...

I love how you left out:

quote:
Oh well, it is what it is. It's working to a T for Saban and Smart. They won't change it because it's so successful

You love how I left out two sentences that make you look worse? Ok. All I did was re-post, word for word, what you put in another thread. Did those two sentences fundamentally change what you said? (no)

quote:

I said it was successful and didn't need to be changed so I don't know what the frick Robot Santa is talking about saying I'm crying on the LSU recruiting board. I wasn't the only one saying it to start with. It is what it is and works.

Aka: yeah I was crying about it, but I wasn't the first one. I just joined in.

It's hilarious that people can't have a decent conversation without this shite.

It's hard to be decent when you're dealing with someone so fundamentally disingenuous.

You know what else I left out? Here's the first part of your post on the LSUrb:

Quote from Elleshoe:
"its just a joke bc Bama uses it as a selling point so much"

Your response:
"Pretty much this."

You began your post by asserting that the pitch is a "joke" and overused, and anyone with enough sense can see that, coupled with the rest of your post, was not an endorsement. Your post was an exaggeration at best and you did it to feed your little insecurities and rally any anti-bammers you could find over there.

quote:

I said it was successful and didn't need to be changed
No you didn't. You said "Oh well, it is what it is". That's not endorsement, that's resignation. You did say "it's working" but you get as much credit for that grand observation as I do for saying you're a shite-stirrer.

You failed miserably in your take on how they pitch the Jack position, and you failed even worse with your backtracking over here when you got exposed.

What ever happened to Ethan Pocic? Im sure he is leaning to Ohio St or Penn St since he is from around there and Michigan has every OL in the country.

I think they would go for free because their parents are university employees.

Little Trooper and Luper could not. The NCAA requires the parents to be employees for atleast 5 years before they do not count as counters. Since this would be their 4th season coming up, if they joined the AU football team and received tuition deferment because their parents were employees the NCAA would count them against the 85, whether an athletic scholarship was given or not. I only know this because it was asked on another board regarding Sunseri. FWIW

FWIW, despite what LSU fans want to believe, Landon picked UA all by himself. If anything, she followed him there. He knew for a while he wanted to go to UA and she decided to continue their future there. It's crazy to me that some LSU fans think that a 5* NFL player would let his girl friend move him several hours away instead of staying home.

Gator will tell you this as well but longer he waits better it is for UF, but Bama still feels confident about landing him. He's still coming in next month for a camp and will be one to watch to commit, he is a PERFECT DE prospect for our 3 man to add to an already SICK group, With Paige, if we can get Walker and Nkemdiche after adding Allen ZOMG!!!!!
