What was wrong with that play? That’s creative. It’s the hidden ball trick with the first baseman and pitcher in baseball.

If I remember correctly he still caught the ball so they would’ve declined it anyways.

If I was arkansas coach I would have every back up safety, linebacker, corner, backup running back or whoever was fast enough and had a mean enough streak. Kick the ball sky high and head hunt the returner fair catch or not for the rest of the game. I bet they would stop even trying to receive the ball.

CFB officiating in general is not that good. Not like the NFL which invests millions in refs. They’re gonna have rough games for sure.

Tbh I thought that was a missed PI.
Coleman caught a deep ball in the first half but no PI was called. That's the one you're talking about.

Shocking OP doesn't use night mode.

This would have been funny coming from anyone, but even more funny coming from an LSU fan. Well played, Wolf

It is funny watching Auburn fans complain about a rule that, I believe, Gus Malzhan inspired.
Auburn fans used to crow and gloat every time Malzhan bent or flat out broke the rules to try to trick the other team.
How y’all like it when you are on the other side of the equation?

I think it is also important to note that on the arguably "uncatchable" pass to Coleman on the trick play....
Auburn ended up scoring anyway...
However, it does bring up my biggest pet peeve about officiating...
And that is that IMO ANY play should be reviewable via challenge if a coach is willing to risk a TO.
PI/non PI is probably the most routinely missed call in all of football with the possible exception of offensive holding.

I love a good conspiracy.

I mean the refs admitted that they fricked up and gave a touchdown to a team that won by 7.
In reality they spotted OU 14 points

You might want to check out the 09 Arkansas Florida game. Numerous terrible calls against Arkansas, which resulted in a Florida win and the entire officiating crew being suspended for three games.

I cannot think of a sport in the SEC that doesn't have poor Officiating crews.

No, it isn’t. And if you thought you’d won the game last night you’d stop desperation posting.
