Oh. I didn't think of that. I guess I thought the guy who is still #2 in Chicago Bulls History for rebounds (only behind Michael Jordan). Might have been a pretty good athlete. That means he's ahead of players like: Scottie Pippen, Joakim Noah, Jerry Sloan, Horace Grant on that list. I mean...he did get 37 rebounds against the Phoenix Suns in a single game. I'm sure you're right. None of that would translate to today's game. I mean...sure, he was battling guys like Bill Walton, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, and Wilt Chamberlain to get numbers like that...but they probably couldn't hang with Haislip, either.
ETA...apparently Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune thinks people who go on about Boerwinkle's athleticism are missing the big picture. Oh...and he also points out that the 37 rebound night was with 35 minutes of playing time.

He cost us some big wins as a coach.
The Rifleman was a greet player.
Or are you talking about Wesley?
Eddie Johnson had a bigger NBA career.
I can’t imagine how a Kentucky fan does this.
Maybe we should break it down by decades or something?

Not really, cause Chris Jackson would still jack up 40 shots a game.

It would be one of the most awesome things ever, if it was possible for the top college basketball dream teams to be assembled for each school when each player was in their prime to play against each other for a full season.

Kentucky:
Jack Goose Givens
Dan Issel
Kenny Walker
Kyle Macy
Tony Delk
LSU:
Shaquille O'Neal
Pete Maravich
BobPettit
Rudy Macklin
Chris Jackson
Hmmm...
4 of the above 10 are in the NBA Hall of Fame: 1 from Kentucky (Issel) and 3 from LSU (O'Neal, Maravich, and Pettit)
All 3 from LSU were either College Player of the Year or NBA MVP; none from Kentucky. All 3 led the NBA in scoring; none from Kentucky (though Issel led the ABA one year). Those 3 LSU players made 30 NBA All-Star Teams, winning All-Star Game MVP 7 times.

Deserves a starting spot for the Tigers.
Mr Buckets, LSU's 2nd all time scorer.

This thread topic is always a hit with LSU fans who can't field a real life championship basketball lineup

Oh well hell, if Paul Sullivan has ruled on the subject, then I guess it is settled. Lmao.
That dude would be lucky to be in Division 1 today and just because he was on the same court as Wilt and Kareem, doesn’t mean he was in the same universe as either as a player.
I am starting to understand why folks hate on Vol fans so much on this site.

I know I'm biased but it's hard for me to see how UF wouldn't have a legit shot vs any roster.
Horford and Noah were about as complete a college frontcourt as I can think of. They proved it in the NBA too. Only weaknesses between them is basically Noah's lack of a jump shot which isn't as important in college. Elite defenders, passers, and IQ players etc. Old man Horford is still one of the best defenders vs elite bigs in the NBA like Embiid and Giannis.
Bradley Beal is one of the best scorers of his generation.
Our "weakest" position is like Mike Miller at the 3 who was fringe all star and one of the best shooters of his era.
Unless you don't allow White Chocolate then PG would be a pretty big drop off.

I’d consider replacing Stromile with Ricky Blanton.

Aldridge will be HoF and of course Durant will be.
Define "some guys"
The others are not HoF worthy but they are good NBA players.

just looking at some of the lineups man would those be fun games to see.
The other wildcard is coaching. Arkansas with Nolan Richardson and an all star lineup would be amazing to watch. Alabama has had some great players as well.
Would be a great video game

Oh my God, you're such a fricking moron.
I hate LSU only slightly less than I hate Texas, but a lineup of their top 5 players kicks the shite out of any of such lineup. They're unbeatable.
