All of these are bad but none of them top last year's Auburn-Arkansas game. The refs quite literally handed the game to Auburn with the horrendous call on the spike fumble at the end.

Imagine Alabama losing the college world series on a bad call to Auburn. A call that is so terrible that the umpire has to ask Emmert if he made the right one. If you thought Cards fans were harsh on Denkinger, could you imagine what Bama fans would do to that poor umpire ?

Last year's hosing against Auburn is right up there, but the Tebow three-yard phantom spot is still tops in my book.

I try not to be an overly biased fan so I can certainly see why UT fans and others would be angry over the Gaffney catch.
But over the years I've never even seen unbiased third parties agree on it.
IMO it's just an impossibly subjective play that will never be universally agreed upon. Especially given the unclear definition of control/possession back then.
