1986 - Bo Jackson

One could also argue that Bo was also the best draft pick in 1987 as the 183rd overall pick.

So I fricked up.

And it isn't like the Pro Bowl means much these days.

This deserves an asterisk but Tampa Bay drafted Bo Jackson #1 after he told them he would never play for them because they sabotaged his senior year of baseball. They called his bluff and literally got nothing out of a #1 pick.

Won't see any LSU arguing about jamarcus. He took his paycheck and ran

Plus it is the Raiders. Before Mendoza last night their last two first round QB picks were Jamarcus Russell and Todd Marinovich. Yuck.

Only reason he's #1 is because of the money. In today's NFL, he would have likely be drafted behind a veteran guy and HOPEFULLY learned some good work habits.

But I personally believe Johnny Football was a bigger bust.

He was drafted #22 overall.

I knew you were an idiot. I didn't know you were fricking retarded.

Russell probably takes it because he went #1 overall in the days before the rookie wage scale.

But in terms of all first round picks, it has to be Isaiah Wilson to the Titans. Picked 27th overall and played 4 career snaps because he was incredibly fat and incredibly stupid.

And the Raiders are about to do it again.

Tim Couch

For JaMarcus Russell, of all NFL Pass attempts made:

52% resulted in completions
2.6% resulted in touchdowns
3.4% resulted in interceptions
averaged 6.0 yards per pass attempt

For Tim Couch, of all NFL Pass attempts made:

60% resulted in completions
3.7% resulted in touchdowns
3.9% resulted in interceptions
Averaged 6.5 yards per pass attempt

That's pretty darn close in most categories.

This is the correct answer.
Falcons picked him over Neil Smith, Tim Brown, Sterling Sharpe, and Michael Irvin. Still the worst draft pick in Falcons history, and that's saying a lot.

Sorry you're too much of a LSU hater and moron to just comprehend when someone mentions another QB as a bigger bust... regardless of going #22. The failure was still a first round pick... yes?

You dickhead.

He was a first rounder (21) but not the first pick.

In 5 years we might be adding Tua in this conversation.

Tua has more concussions than Jamarcus had seasons in the league.

A former LSU player is the biggest bust in NFL history.

You say someone drafted #22 overall is a bigger bust.

You're a Goddamn retard.

Tua had the displeasure of being drafted to the Miami dolphins. That organization is as awful as it gets with front office decisions.

Didn't Nick Saban used to be the HC from that organization? That should tell you Alabama got lucky to get him after that and Auburn didn't try to get him.

Tua had less physical abilities than Russel and Couch. And he also took one too many head shots.

Couch is inexplicable. Just couldn’t take the next step. Russel never had a brain. But good grief him and Couch could toss the ball around.
