Maybe we don't score on that drive, doesn't change that call was easy and routine.

Go listen to the broadcast. They said how close it was in real time, we were offsides but it wasn't as blatant like some of the other calls discussed in this thread.
Hey, I'd be hurting too if I was 0-4.
Fear the thumb underachievers!

Vandy 2013: 15 yard targeting TWICE that weren't

But the one at the end was the one that won vandy the game, 4th down and 4 and another one was called. giving Vandy the 1st down. It was overturned but it was the year where the ejection could be overturned but not the yardage. First down Vandy at UGA 15 in 4th quarter.

Awful.

ARTICLE 15. All players are prohibited from grabbing the inside back collar of the shoulder pads or jersey, or the inside collar of the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, and immediately pulling the ball carrier down. This does not apply to a ball carrier, including a potential passer, who is inside the tackle box (Rule 2-34). Note that the tackle box disintegrates when the ball leaves it.
Rule 9-1-15. Jersey vs. pads is immaterial to the rule.
What I see there is Frost diving for Manziel, catching him by the jersey collar with is left hand, begin pulling him down, and catching Manziel on the right arm/shoulder with his right hand to complete the tackle.

Yep. That about sums it up.

I've never felt like more of a child than that targeting call on Ramik. Holy dog shite, I wanted the heads of that ref and the committee that made the rule in the first place. You can overturn the ejection but not the yardage? Who in their fricking right mind thought that that was ever a good idea???

Sounds like he is still butt hurt.

I'll also add this one.
Penn Wagers gets an earful from Richt on a bad call. Richt turns around to walk away and Wagers chases him to get back into it before throwing a flag.
frick that pissant of a human being. I'm glad he's out of this sport for good.

LSU vs. State in '99, Rod Gibson crawls into the end zone (turning what was probably a two or three yard loss into a touchdown) on fourth down and State actually beats LSU for once. Crime against humanity.

Some 5th down background/info:
1. Happened in 1990, Bob Stull was coach
2. Mizzou had just hammered Arizona State, & with the correct officiating against CU, would have been ranked.
To this day, I think had the calls gone correctly, Mizzou would have gone on to a winning season and Bob Stull would be considered a hero for turning things around. He had a seriously talented coaching staff. As it was, Stull ended up getting fired a couple of seasons later & Mizzou would go until 1997 to get that winning season.
3. CU: was coached by Mizzou alum Bill McCartney, who played under Dan Devine. Mizzou alum and former Northwestern & CU coach Gary Barnett was also on that staff.
4. Yes, there were five downs, but Johnson didn't even score on the 5th down. He was flat on his back at the 1/2 to 1 yard line when he stuck his arm over the goal line. Ruled a TD.
5. CU shared the national title that year.
Other: Mizzou Vs Bugeaters (NU) 1997:
1. Game was a great game, back & forth, tight throughout.
2. NU scored on the "flea kicker". Pass got tipped, bounced off of the NU receivers foot, who later admitted that he kicked the ball up into the air on purpose, and caught for the TD.
3. Should have been a flag for the kicking
4. Mizzou, with the loss, actually moved into the Top 25.

Yea, it definitely doesn't matter whether he got the jersey or the pads, the result is the same.

Phantom sideline marker change for PP7 INT vs Bama!
Can't y'all see PP7 was CLEARLY out of bounds!? By FAR, the worst call that I've ever witnessed!

Auburn had the ball, but they gave it to us...
That game was on SEC Network yesterday and I watched it. It looked like Artis-Payne and the A&M guy got on the ball about the same time, though CAP looked to get more of it. After that it was impossible to tell in the replay. I don't think it was a bad call, given an A&M guy came out of the pile with it, and there wasn't enough in the replay to overturn it.
