re: Josh Pate: I can’t tell you how the LSU search is going because it’s not going…

I agree, there are some very intriguing names out there that LSU could potentially hit on (ex: Morris, Golesh, Sumrall, etc) and end up being a homerun hire given the right pieces around them. I was just relaying info from a very trustworthy and respectable coworker that I know wouldn't BS me. Some of these coaches mentioned will eventually be hired by some big time programs either way.

I've been a member for years, but don't post much anymore. A guy I work with that personally knows 2 members on the BOS told me today that he can confirm from talking to them, that Saban and Lane were both offered and both declined. Other than that, the board members didn't offer up any more info on who they have in mind (were pretty hush about that part). This leads me to believe what Pate is saying...which sucks, but it's true.
Is anyone selling LSU shirts yet with the "not a whole lot" meme in some sort of way?

Let's geauxxxxxx...I know someone has them already lol!
re: Anyone else watching Dunham & Catholic NI?
Posted by LSUperior on 12/14/24 at 10:05 am to landmanner
Catholic's QB may not be a 5* or playing in the NFL on Sunday, but he was the best player on the field yesterday. He had total command of the offense and presnap reads. Some may not know this, but former LSU tiger OL Josh Dworaczyk is on the CHS coaching staff coaching their OL (they are freakin huge). They also have Matt Desormeaux at the helm, Michael Desormeaux's (UL head coach) younger brother...so they definitely have some solid coaching too. I feel like they played the "let's contain Haven and let everyone else try to beat us" and it worked. Haven will be great in the years to come, it just wasn't his time right now.
They are melting so hard right now on the Bama board!
Posted by LSUperior on 1/17/24 at 12:55 pm
If you want a good laugh, just head on over to the Bama board...the melt is GLORIOUS!!! It's what we went through with the Coach O departure, but times 10. The gave out free Chargers for YEARS and bags of cash, but now that the NIL and portal has evened the playing field, they want to talk about "what's wrong with the system." They even called Kirby a rat... :rotflmao: :geauxtigers:

STM was just the better TEAM, even though Ju'juan was the best player on the field yesterday. STM just simply outmanned them. They are an extremely well coached, disciplined team. I'm gonna chalk this one up to the competitive nature of a 17 year old kid wanting to win it all.
This is what happens when you become complacent and care more about Tik Toks than hard work and discipline in the off season.

The DBs will eventually be an issue and a liability at some point...I've seen enough to know this.
Weeks looked like a game changer last night with Speights being out!

For a freshman, you can tell his knowledge of the game and reading the defense was great! He was flying to the ball and always seemed to be in the right position at the right time (lots of discipline and knowing his assignment), especially when he stood up the RB after Jefferson rolled to the left, then pitched it to the middle instead of outside where the play looked like it was going. This will be interesting to see how the MLB position plays out with him and Speights going forward. I think you gotta have him on the field.

Jefferson and Wingo are by far our best DL.
Totally agree...those 2 bringing upfront pressure in quarterbacks faces will cause some major problems in the pocket.
Jefferson is a GROWN MAN!!!

And will be an absolute problem for teams going forward. His disruption on the line and wreaking havoc in the backfield is a thing of beauty! It's been a while since of seen a defensive tackle for LSU get that much CONSISTENT PRESSURE through the line, definitively giving me flashes of Glenn Dorsey vibes. Glad he plays for us!

Simple... no ball, leave the QB alone. Don't risk it in a close game.
But Jefferson HAD the ball, so that doesn't make sense.
Can someone legit explain Perkins roughing the passer call late in ARK-LSU game?
Posted by LSUperior on 9/24/23 at 10:20 am
I would really love an legit explanation on this call. I've rewatched it several times. Jefferson rolls out, Perkins pursuing him...then while Perkins is MIDAIR, Jefferson STARTS to throw the ball and gets the throw off. What exactly does the ref expect Perkins to do while in midair...somehow magically change his trajectory to not hit Jefferson???

Roundup won't keep it dead. The only thing I've found that would keep it dead was Dismiss. You're going to panic at the price, but one bottle will last you for years.
I backed up to a lake with a lot of wind, and I had to keep a sprayer with the Dismiss ready to roll. I had to spray once every week or two, somewhere. Usually not in the beds, just the grass, but you have to nip it in the bud ASAP. There were people in the hood (expensive arse houses) whose yards were completely taken over by Sedge.
Nutsedge can DIAF.
Sounds like it's a huge PITA...I'll definitely checkout Dismiss! At this point, I'll try anything to get this stuff dead and out of the flowerbeds for good.

It You s nutsedge and “Permit” will kill it. So will Sedgehammer.
Is Permit or Sedgehammer safe for surrounding plants? Like can I just spray everything?

Thank you!
Is this Bermuda Grass or Torpedo Grass (weed)?

My neighbor and I are trying to figure this out. Title says it all. TIA!

Is this Nut Grass (Coco Grass) and what herbicide to kill it?
Posted by LSUperior on 9/22/23 at 6:36 pm
This weed has sprouted up all over our front flowerbeds. I'll kill it with Glyphosate and it just comes back in like 2-3 weeks. I've pulled it and it just comes back. Its between all of our flowers/plants, therefore I'm hesitant on what to use that wouldn't kill the plants to, but at this point...I dont care lol. Would Sedgehammer kill it for good? Do I need a surfactant added? Any advice is appreciated! I'm just about ready to dig up the entire flowerbed down 3-4" and start new again.

Teams become desperate in these types of situations, especially at the start of the season when a blow like this happens. If I'm the Saints, I'm trying to get a 3rd or 4th for him.

Great recruiter (usually landed all the LA guys and 5 stars he went after), but mediocre coach at best.
