2010 Auburn. They escaped and had 2nd half comebacks almost every game.

Yeah. We "escaped" by scoring 28 unanswered in your own house.

2002 Ohio State always underrated here

That's the team that gave them the term Luckeyes.

7 of their wins (So half) by 1 score including beating:

(7-7) Cincinnati 23-19
(8-6) Wisconsin 19-14
(9-4) Penn State 13-7
(7-6) Purdue 10-6
(5-7) Illinois 23-16 in overtime
(10-3) Michigan 14-9
Miami in NCG 31-24 in double overtime on controversial call

It was a pretty dogshit offense and incredibly lucky to win so many close games mostly against mediocre teams

2009 Bama, that Offense was average at best. It took an injury to Mccoy and a Freshman almost pulled it off.

It is almost incredible that, at least in my opinion, Saban's 2009 team was nowhere near as lethal as his following championship teams in 11, 12 and 15, yet all of those teams failed to finish undefeated but the 09 team did.

College football is weird.

And no, 09 Bama was not one "of the worst national title teams ever." They whooped up on the defending national champion in the SEC championship game and went 14-0 with the Heisman winner on their team.

1981 Clemson - not a super impressive team. Edged out many games including sliding past Tulane. Highlight win was 10-8 over a top 10 UNC team. Beat a down Nebraska team in the title.
You forgot that they beat defending NC UGa 13-3, holding the Dawgs out of the endzone for the only time in Herschel’s career. Also one of only 2 regular season losses suffered by UGa from 1980-83. Much bigger highlight win than UNC and should be enough to take them off this list.

.

Circumstances killed a great matchup, but that doesn’t change the fact that Bama had a great team.

Cody had to block a FG against TN to win that game, they had to score late to beat a 7-5 Auburn team. Texas’s Freshman QB had the ball with 6 min to go to take a lead.

They also beat what may be one of the 2 or 3 best non-national title winning teams of the last 25 years by 20 points in dominating fashion.

Any undefeated champion isn't going to be anywhere near this list. Nice try Gump.

How about the Bama team that backdoored their way in without winning their own division?

Casey Dick was the QB, not Matt Jones

He probably meant to reference Felix Jones.

As a Gator fan, I can't disagree with you on that one

Jesus Christ. That's pathetic. How did the system even spit them out as a champ?

You have Tennessee, LSU and Clemson in a same list as BYU 1984.

Can we please get these ACC and big 10 “footbal” fans out of here?

1990 Colorado - in my opinion the runaway worst ever. Had a loss AND a tie in the first three games of the season. Needed the 5th down to beat a poor Missouri team. And to cap it all off, had to rely on a Notre Dame punt return getting called back from a phantom block in the back call in the bowl game to squeak out a 10-9 wi

frick you. The Buffs deserved it.
