Auburn is 22-21-1 against Vanderbilt. Now that is upsetting.

It depends how Bama handles rest of season. If they tank then it will be said Vandy ruined them. Keep in Vandy was like 0-60 vs 1 teams or something like that.

But I expect Bama to come back strong. A game like that can be a wakeup call used by them for years. And with 12 team playoff its a blip if Bama can win out. They just don’t want a tie breaker where other team/s have better losses.

Boro, did you check out that list of 10 biggest upsets of all time? Did you notice that there is only one current SEC head coach represented on that list?

While at Liberty in 2021, Hugh Freeze lost as a 32.5 point favorite. As bad as that New Mexico State loss was at home last season as a 25 point favorite was, it actually wasn’t Freeze’ worst loss ever.

And completely irrelevant. The vast majority of Auburn's losses to Vandy were prior to WW2 when Vandy was a football power. You lost to Vandy while ranked #1 in the country last Saturday. Hell, trolls on this board were calling for Vandy to be kicked out of the SEC as recently as last week.

Now listen, don’t be making sense and spewing all of your logic and critical thinking on the rant now! It might confuse tigers, rebels and horns, oh my.

Take it as a compliment, Bama fans. If Vandy beat a random team as a 21-point underdog no one would be talking about it. But they slayed a giant, so it gets the publicity.

Reminds me of the 2007 Fiesta Bowl where we lost to Boise State. Never mind that we were playing with a converted WR when we kicked our starting QB off the team, 8 starters opted out of the game and another was suspended. Never mind that we were 7-point favorites and lost by 1 point on the most unlikely set of trick plays on the final drive. Bottom line is we lost to Boise State and it will live forever. No one remembers that they beat Oregon State and Utah by 30 in the regular season. They remember that they slayed the giant.

4-7 Pitt beating #2 West Virginia in 2007 to knock them out of a National Championship game is worse than Vandy beating Bama.

Vandy, for all of their struggles, are at least in the same conference as Alabama. It’s not THAT far of a reach to think a team can beat another team in its own conference

Some people in media are acting like Vandy has been on some kind of all time horrific mutiple decade stretch of ineptitude. The Dores won 5 games just 2 years ago and were in a bowl as recently as 2018. Are they world beaters? No. But it's not like they're completely devoid of talent.

According to some Bama fans the worst loss in NCAA history belongs to Kalen Deboers shirt.

Twice, and those were historically bad Texas teams nowhere near ranked #1.

Bama/Vandy isn’t even the biggest upset so far this season. Northern Illinois was a 27.5 underdog when they beat then #5 Notre Dame in September.

Based on Notre Dame’s remaining schedule they will almost certainly make the playoffs.

Well, when you’re ranked number one every year for 17 years in a row, then you’re bound to lose to someone at some point you’re not supposed to. And it was still Kansas, historically the worst team in all of football for several years. And it was two years ago numb nuts.

Yes. Thank you.
I also understand that they had 65 scholarships vs 85.

But APp was a great team and not Prarie View AM.

Vanderbilt is the Prarie View of the SEC. Until last Saturday.

I lived in Boone when App State beat Michigan, so I am probably biased. I think at the time most people didn't even know where App State was so I don't think these are comparable.
