When I was a kid, went with an uncle to
see Auburn and Kentucky, my first SEC game.
I was really proud of that new red suede jacket
I wore. Shortly after the game started, there
was a downpour and we sat there getting soaked.
At some point, after the rain stopped, a kid sitting close by asked,
"are you bleeding" and pointed to a red puddle around my shoes. So much for my
new suede jacket and red splotched white pants.
Never even came close again to the misery I felt
waiting for that game to end.

Damn man that actually made me feel for you. Which is rare

What a bummer as a young’un

Mine was my first LSU game I attended in person. 6-7 years old and Spurrier beat us by damn near 60. One of the half dozen times I ever heard pops use the f-word

It was the 90's, Arkansas vs Tenn in Little Rock. I don't really remember much about the game, pretty sure we lost.

What I do remember though was how shitty the stadium was in Little Rock and I was competently stunned and confused as to why my Hogs played half their home games there. Back then I was a student and I think we got 1 SEC home game a year, was pretty fricked up.

It wasn't until I went to this game though until I realized just how fricked up it was.

I was so angry after that game.

The 1984 Florida-Miami game was one of the first televised on ESPN, and it ranks as one of the best games in the series. The teams met at the old Tampa Stadium in front of more than 72,000 fans. It appeared as if Florida might pull the upset on the defending national champions. The Gators led 20-19 with 41 seconds remaining, but then Bernie Kosar delivered one of the most memorable plays in Miami history. He led Miami 72 yards in only 29 seconds, capped off by a 12-yard touchdown pass to Eddie Brown in the corner of the end zone with 7 seconds left, to go up 26-20. Florida's last pass went for a pick-six and Miami won 32-20, giving the Hurricanes possession of the vaunted Seminole War Canoe. It was Miami's 13th consecutive victory, and first under new coach Jimmy Johnson, though the Hurricanes would lose the following week to Michigan. As for Florida, it was the Gators' only loss that season, but the year was marred by NCAA violations that forced the resignation of coach Charley Pell and led to Florida vacating its SEC championship.

SMU at San Jose State in 1999.

An electrical transformer exploded outside of the stadium just before kickoff.

Stadium went dark. Game cancelled.

Both teams sucked so there were no conference or bowl implications, and the game was never rescheduled.

Has to be 2015 vs. Florida. Final score was 14-9. Wasn’t a bad game but had never felt so disappointed in a team. Defense played great, stadium was rocking and our offense managed 3 lousy field goals. The however long losing streak was still in tact and the level of frustration this game brought was next level for me

2009 LSU vs Florida. I think we managed like 100 yds of total offense and 3 pts. Less can never lose enough at Kansas for all those years of miserable offense he put us through tbh.

I've had pretty bad luck at attending some of the worst A&M games ever. Now that i think about it, i've never seen a truly great win at Kyle Field.

2008 Arkansas State - Enough said. Sherman's first game as HC. So embarrassing, but that team was awful with some good young talent. Who predicted all those underclassmen would turn it around only two years later to win a share of the division crown and play in the Cotton Bowl.

2006 Texas Tech - It was hot as balls all day, and Tech once again ripped our hearts out at the end on a fluke play. The infamous Corps nut squeeze happened not far from where I was sitting, and I had a bad feeling as soon as I saw it, despite A&M leading most of the game.

2006 Oklahoma - Another Fran special, only with the stakes raised on primetime with Gameday in town. He loved him some field goals, and A&M always had a hard time getting over the hump against the land thieves. Finally breaking the losing streak later that year against t.u. was great, but winning this game would have been YUGE.

2005 Iowa State - Though the opponent turned out to be decent that year, getting blown out at home by the Cyclones was unacceptable, especially since it was basically one player that torched the secondary. Todd Blythe had an incredible game reminiscent of Larry Fitzgerald's a couple years prior. Fran going full retard with the offense and wasting Reggie McNeal's senior season was in full effect.

2011 Okie State - It was the year of the choke for preseason-top-10-ranked-A&M, and there was no bigger choke than this game. Some might say Arkansas was worse, but this was the biggest turnaround I've seen from kicking arse in the first half against a great team to the exact opposite in the second half. The brutal heat didn't help either.

1995 LSU - I grew up loving this game as much as the rivalry with the school in Austin, and while seeing my brother march in the band for the first time and A&M beating the Tigers was awesome, it was the hottest outdoor activity/game I've witnessed. People were passing out and having to take cover under the stands. That was back when Kyle Field still had AstroTurf, so I'm sure the players were dying.

2014 Mizzou - Honorable mention for worst weather in a game I stuck around for long enough to get sick as hell during. Matty Mauk and that running back whose name escapes me put on a show and canceled out a great win that A&M just had at Auburn. It took me over and hour and getting lost to find my car after the game in cold nasty weather.

During the Croom error, we were playing Troy and tornado came through and we took shelter in the old student union. And then we lost to Troy.

I was at this game. One of my best friends dads played DB for some championship Troy teams in the 80s or 90s, and he is a big booster. I would go with them to a lot of games growing up, and we went to that one.

I remember us listening to AU/UF game on the radio on the way back to Montgomery after that game, when AU upset UF as a 21 point under dog.

That was actually in 2001 under Jackie. That and the Ole Miss games were the only one's I didn't attend that year. Thank God I sat thet one out. Actually, the 2002 game against Troy was one of the worst I can remember. We won 11-8, but it was some really, really bad football. I also cracked a tooth that day, so my wife had to drive back home because I was in so much pain.

I forgot about the 1995 game vs Florida.... I think all of us UGA fans wanted to forget about that one. Spurrier, or one of the coaches, made a reference that UGA had never had an opponent score 50 on them in Sanford. They were bound and determined to do it..... final 52-17...... as a 11 year old at the time, that is where my hatred for Spurrier and Florida started!

The 3-2 game will likely forever be the worst game I've ever seen in person. Never forget leaving the stadium and walking back to the car, it was dead silent. Nobody who went to that game wanted to talk about what we'd all just sat through. First time I'd ever experienced a game where both fanbases left pissed off.

2007 Liberty Bowl against UCF is another that comes to mind. Half the entrances to the stadium were closed and a lot of people didn't get to their seats until the second quarter myself included. Once we finally got to see the game, it ended up being a 10-3 snooze fest. In hindsight, Croom's one bowl season was maybe the weirdest season I've experienced as a State fan.

More recently, the 2012 State vs. A&M game was awful to sit through. State wore those stupid all white Snow Bowl uniforms, it was 85 degrees in November, and Manziel did literally whatever he wanted that day. State didn't come close to stopping A&M, I think they ended up with close to 700 yards of total offense. That was when it was very apparent that the 7-0 start for State that year (#WeBelieve) was totally fraudulent.

3. The stadium ran out of pizza at a bowl game sponsored by Papa John's. And this was at halftime. How does this happen??

Capital One (Citrus) bowl at the end of 2010...Alabama vs. Michigan State. They only sold bottled soft drinks at the upper deck concession stands...and they were all out at halftime.

Not the worst game at all for a Bama fan, but I did see something that I've only seen once in 50 years of watching college football: Michigan State had to punt on fourth and goal.

2012 State vs. A&M

That was a blast!

I forgot to add 2014 at State to my list. Nothing like a hot weather 11 AM road game beatdown with cowbells ringing incessantly. A&M got punched in the mouth and wasn't ready for the revenge State was about to bring down.

Atleast State turned out to be really good that year.
