UF fans are normally chill in my opinion, which may or may not be biased, but we (they, I wasn't at the game) were ready to pillory these dang ACC refs after this.

The refs were solid that day

I can’t wait for Ohio State fans to seriously defend that pass interference call.

Probably should've posted this on a Big 10 board then...

I'm biased, but even that aside I think you'd have a hard time finding one more egregious than Auburn Vanderbilt 2001 in the SEC

It's just not open to interpretation, there is no gray area, etc.

And then the one a few years later where LSU got a personal foul for pushing someone in the shoulder pads one second after whistle to dismantle a sure win.

LOL wut

And then that one where the best defensive player in the nation was held out for a half for touching the opposing QB.

Worst CFB officiating calls ever

Is there a running count for how many "Bad Officiating" offseason threads there are in a year?

1999 an Alabama linebacker was laying down at the feet of the head linesman on the LSU side of the line with a career ending injury.

No official on the field called for an injury timeout. All the officials just let the clock run with no regard for PLAYER SAFETY.

PLAYER SAFETY is the number 1 responsibility for an officiating crew so therefore this is the number 1 worst officiating call ever.

also the call denied lsu the chance to run a quarterback sneak near the goal line to win the game against Alabama.

2009 Florida-Arkansas

Take your pick of the most egregious call. Terrell Owens was even tweeting about it.

The ref crew was suspended following the game.

It’s pretty bad and surprised it doesn’t come up more often.

I'm not going to lie. That was a horrible call. But it helped us win our first natty under Saban asterisk-free!

I'm guessing it's because the game wasn't televised (except on PPV) and that the bogus TD didn't affect the outcome (thanks Damon).

But yeah, that was one of the worst ever.

And here is quite possibly the very worst, from the 1988 Iron Bowl. The call on the field was that AU QB Reggie Slack was out of bounds before he threw the pass, which would have set AU up with a first down at the Bama 19 yard line. Instead it set up a 3rd and long, and Slack was sacked back on the AU side of the field on the following play, which ultimately led to a punt. Watch it yourself and see what you think.

Again, it ended up not mattering as AU was victorious, but as I recall they didn't even replay it during the broadcast, and the announcers never said a word about it.

If you don't have the Patrick Petterson interception or the Aggy fumble, then your list is shite.
