In what ways?

Hmm.
It does seem like Chris Gamble was in bounds on this regulation play. But it also seems like the play clock expired before the snap. Granted that the ABC clock might be slightly different than the clock on the field.

Same crew. Same result. PSU wins game(s) they should not have won. Back Judge who made call in 1983 was barred the following week from officiating PSU games. Retired from officiating at the end of the season.

Do you ever wonder why that gif doesnt actually show the play? Its because the spot was right. You can watch the whole play here
He looked back for the sticks on his left side and when he didn't see them he moved it over some and look back to his right for the sticks and slid the ball to be past the sticks and placed it there. He even fumbled around trying to not make it obvious he was moving it because he knew he was cheating.
While I believe Bama would have gotten a bad spot where he marked it, it doesn't matter where the ball should have been because he already marked it short himself before he moved it.

2013 Auburn and 2014 Ole Miss against Bama when the refs just decided that youre allowed to have an o-lineman 10 yards downfield

2013 UGA vs Auburn when the ref gave UGA a TD that was a yard short.

The BYU OL Bear Hugged our defense all night long in that 2001 game. Even my wife who is not a football fan was pointing out the holding calls and booing along with the rest of the stadium. It was the loudest booing crowd that I have ever heard at Scott Field.
When BYU was finally called for their one and only offensive holding call in the 4th Quarter, the officials got a loud Bronx cheer. That was easily the worst officiated game I have ever watched in my lifetime.
#2 was the 1981 Egg Bowl when Dick Pace made the infamous phantom interference call against State in the end zone that allowed Ole Miss to have the ball at the one yard line and then score to win the Egg Bowl 21-17.
State’s DB had inside position on the WR and intercepted the pass that would have preserved the win for a State. In fact we all thought the flag was for offensive pass interference as the WR crawled up his back trying to keep him from intercepting the pass.
As you can see the flag is not even thrown until after the pass is intercepted.

I don’t recall Bama needing much help when they butt fricked your tigers 24-6...actually I recall Clemson needing two blatant pick plays that went uncalled to win.

That one was absolutely terrible.
Both Bama and UF were escorted to Atlanta that year.

I'm biased, but even that aside I think you'd have a hard time finding one more egregious than Auburn Vanderbilt 2001 in the SEC

I think even worse than giving them 5 downs was the fact that Colorado didn't cross the goal line on 5th down either, it wasn't that close either.

A much more interesting iteration of this thread would be, worst officiating call that your team benefitted from and/or were able to win a game due to...

Two years ago in the A&M vs. Arkansas game, the side judge blew a call right before halftime, incorrectly calling Mond out of bounds on his way to a TD. He was only standing about 6 feet away from Mond, staring right at his feet.
Cost us 4 points, I think, since there wasn't much time left to press on for a TD. A&M still won the game, though.
It is mind boggling to be in the perfect position to make a call and then just completely blow it. The way to officiate this kind of play is to let it go and not blow the whistle unless you are 100% sure the player is out of bounds. Replay can always bring it back. But replay can't correct for an incompetent official stopping the action.

That was literally the ONLY questionable call that went against LSU in 74-72. The rest were all correct.
