He had the spot marked wrong.
The umpire in the center of the field was already placing the ball where the correct spot was. The referee came in and was pointing to where the ball should be as the clip ends.

Yea that 83 Bama Penn State was about as bad as it gets and would probably be Bama's greatest comeback ever had it been ruled correctly.I'm so thankful for instant replay to check to see if a player was in bounds or not and for fumbles.The new NFL challenge of pass interference will come to college football to.

This was overturned and called a no catch. This has to be the worst overturned play in sports history

This was fourth down and ended up deciding the national title. Both PSU and Nebraska finished with 1 loss, and PSU won the title.
The PSU player who made this “catch” concedes it was a terrible call, as do almost all PSU fans. PSU fans are willing to admit they benefited from a bad call, unlike OSU fans.

Please explain to me how, on ONE play, you can:
a. line up in an illegal formation
b. Spike the ball with "0:00" on the clock,
and neither one is upheld? If just ONE is upheld, there are
no 7 OTs in College Station.
THEN in OT......you have a RB catch a pass, tuck it, take 2 steps, fumble it, and...........it's called INCOMPLETE ?????????????????
