Without just trolling and talking shite, what would my fellow SEC brethren do about Orgeron

Was just wondering what your honest take on it is. I know I’m going to have to weed through the obvious trolls with the shrimp boat captain, corndog talk but seriously… What would you want to do if the same exact situation was happening at your school?

One of my bigger fears is canning a coach too early and cursing ourselves to some kind of Frank Solich, Nebraska hell. Now, I think it’s tough to criticize for last year’s 5-5 debacle, but I don’t remember a similar situation happening after coming off such a generational national championship season.

To watch a beloved coach hire some no name coordinators and then fade into mediocrity, how would you feel if your team was in the exact same situation. Would you be ready to move on? If so, who would be your #1 target?

Or do you give your existing coach another season?

I’ll hang up and listen.

Anyone serious said he should have been fired last year. Instead you have a huge buyout that makes it difficult to fire him.

Think LSU gives him another year

Hire Hugh Freeze and hope his wife can satisfy him.

Give him the season at least. Maybe next year depending on how he finishes and what his cruitin class looks like.

I think you have to keep him. Part of this title ix stuff happened under him. I don’t know if you can get the type of coach fans would be satisfied with until the end of the current investigations and LSU find sources what their penalties if any will be. Plus IF LSU gets sanctioned for anything that happened under O lsunis relieved of his very expensive buyout.

The guy has completely mailed it in for a season and a half. There are more than just small cracks in the foundation. LSU is a destination job. Pull the trigger.

I think Joe Burrow was really f'n good, he's a clown that relies on his assistants and the train has run into the side of the mountain.

buh-bye

I think you have to let him go this season. It sounds harsh but you have more to lose than gain by keeping him.

You do not want to get caught in the Southern Cal trap where it just lingers on and on.

Even now, I have no doubt coaches all over the SEC are trying poach recruits and poach current players.

College football is getting more and more ruthless. And a team with so much talent is vulnerable in times like this.

If I was Orgeron I’d do like Saban and go somewhere I was appreciated. Let fans make excuses for the next 15 years about why they lost him.

Joe Brady is making about 800,000 in Carolina

I would offer him a five year 18 million dollar deal to be head coach.

Make him turn you down daily for a week.

Serious response: Woodward is already looking into it . Ed Is just a recruiter and cheerleader. He’ll likely get one more season to turn it around. So identify the next guy to hire after next season. The guy from ULaLa is popular.

Orgeron is as good as his coordinators. Y’all obviously have shite coordinators. Cheaper to fire them than the head guy.

Fire him soon as possible if you want to be relevant again. He’s an idiot.

JMO he should have never been hired, because he's seedy and always has been, and without Burrow, and Brady, he would be gone already.

LSU is a natural top 5 to 7 program and should be able to get someone who is a better coach and a better man as well.

Makes no sense to fire him during the season though. Begin reaching out to successors and let the season play out. It's not like LSU is going to somehow beat the Tide this year and change anything substantial about the situation.

Get the next hire right.

It must be tough for victims of LSU's assaults to see the man who helped cover it up on national TV.

Covered up sexual assault.
NCAA investigation
Federal investigation
Civil lawsuit against him
Embarrassing the university being pictured with skanks in bed
Admitting he doesn't interview coordinators

More than enough reason to fire with cause.

Fire him with cause (even if one had to be manufactured) and get the best available, recruiting and HC credentials are a must.

Cristobal, Fickell, Napier, Fleck, Jamey Chadwell (not talked about much, but an incredible HC), and Napier should all get calls.

Kiffin and the Pirate as well, given what they could do with the resident offensive/skill player talent within the LA and East TX areas. But, they come with some baggage and personality that would have to be accounted for.

Then, start looking at the dream list of HCs... does Joe Brady want HC shot?

That said, I think the answer longer term is in the first group I mentioned.

Either way, O has to go or LSU will bleed this off-season in the portal. He hasn't proven he can be competitive on a consistent basis without a Joe Burrow and Joe Brady combo making magic happen.
