They already have one daddy with LSU, and now with Texas coming home to them, they must know their days are numbered.

Not sure if serious, or if this is just a thread to antagonize...
But the way some of y’all talk about the horns as if they are some kind of titan makes me wonder if they intimidate you?

To answer the question, not “scared.”

Can’t speak for the entire Texas A&M system and every former student, as this isn’t a hive-mind. But I personally don’t care one way or another. It’s only football. Times are rapidly changing. No way of knowing what the landscape will look like in the next year or two. Let alone 5-10 years. What does “days are numbered” even mean specifically. I mean I get it. It’s supposed to sound foreboding. But what does it really mean? We haven’t dominated the west division by any stretch of the imagination. Their “Brand” alone should level the recruiting playing field already. They’re a blue blood for chrissake. I don’t see a conference change impacting that near as much as some. So exactly what days are we enjoying now that will undoubtedly come to an end?

Great point, they are kind of like a mid tier or bottom division SEC team.

Not much I can do if you don’t believe me.

On the field: 0 out of ten
Off the field: 11 out of ten

They’re going to politic and bitch and complain until everyone forgets that Bama used to get preferential calls and the SEC has unequal revenue sharing.

Lets be honest, every team in the SEC West is significantly better than Texas. They got boat raced by Arkansas. Completely dominated. They are about like South Carolina or Missouri.

The thing I'm not looking forward to is their arrogance and destructiveness. They will find a way to frick up and destroy the SEC. The league needs to be prepared and have some ironclad legal contracts in place or the conference won't exist in 10 years.

To be more specific, they don't believe in equal revenue sharing. They believe they have a superior brand and deserve more money than everyone else in the conference. They are going to try to set themselves apart from everyone else as soon as possible.

I’d rather them not be in the SEC because should they have stayed in the big XII they would have continued dying on the vine. After all of the belly aching they did when we left- although the hypocrisy is delicious, they deserve no benefits of joining.

But- since they have- I hope we kick the ever living shite out of them at every opportunity and expose what pansy asses they really are. Make no mistake, though. There are simply too many good teams anywhere you look to elevate tu to any special status. I don’t give a frick when we play them or on what week.

For that fine university to be lost to Cocks not Glocks- burns my arse. The good Texans that are there need to take back their university and at least remember how to be Texans.

There are great people there but they aren’t stepping up.

Once again EKG outclasses a troll. Nobody is scared of anybody in this conference, every week is a challenge and represents a great chance to survive and move on. I welcome Texas and OU both….bring it. It certainly beats playing other in-state Texas schools like smu, tcu, Houston, rice, or Tech

If you look at the coordinated effort of Longhorn media (a much more national reach than A&M has) to generate recruiting / NIL / and 'culture reset' momentum, it is VERY clear that the Longhorns are the ones 'scared' of joining.

They don't have the roster.

(high ranked classes with high attrition, will rely on freshmen and portal the next two years, and will enter the SEC with either one year of Worthy and no Bijan or without both. They will get 1 year of Ewers, after joining, and have a decade of waste along the O-Line, even though they have recruited well there.)

They don't have the coaches.

(Sark is a great coordinator, but is awful at in-game adjustments as a head coach. His record after losing at half speaks to that, as well as his overall record as a head coach. He will be moving into a stacked SEC, where not only the rosters are elite, but the coaching staffs as well. His DC is not good, and also not recruiting talent that fits his scheme. He is recruiting names / stars, which Texas has NEVER had trouble doing, and not pieces that actually fit what worked for him at UW.)

They don't have the fan support.

(They can't fill their stadium, but still expanded it. They have EXTREMELY fair-weather fans who will pack out for a new SEC schedule, until they lose 3+ and they will disappear. The SEC kids that they recruit will get to compare a 30% empty DKR in week 7 with a 95% full stadium on any other visit that they make in conference.)

Texas is a big fish drowning in a small pond.

They'll enjoy the new waters until the very first sign of adversity, and they'll panic fire/hire/recruit/booster their way into another decade of irrelevance.

Honest.
