Baylor has a better record than Texas over the last ten years.
Baylor conference championships played for in the past 3 seasons: 2

A&M conference championships played for in the past 23 seasons: 0 (and the first 13 of those seasons y'all were in the big 12 )

Terrified. Jimbo recruiting the best class in Texas A&M history also frightens me.

Paying recruits more than ever under the table, in a NIL world, confirms this fear.

aTm could get the best 25 players in every recruiting class and still finish 5th in the SEC West

Is it coincidence that 2 of the worst posters on the rant have Forever for their usernames?

To answer the original post, not scared at all. Their defense is just plain garbage and not likely to improve at all. Their OL is pretty terrible as well

Just read that QB Quinn Ewers is going to commit to Texas. Will be interesting to see how he does if he is the starting QB in 22.

This conversation is a bit funny as the average SEC poster seems so incredibly clueless about the history of the Big 12/SWC.

Outside of the 4-5 good years of Mack Brown, Texas has been pretty god awful for a 40 year period. I remember going to Amon Carter in Ft. Worth in the 80s and my Y football coach (lineman for the Horns under Darrell Royal) talking everything up to a huge degree.

Eric Metcalf and Britt Hager and Mark Murdock barely beat a terrible TCU team that year but the whole team was partying like they won the Superbowl. I was a kid and I later figured out Texas was 2-5 in the SWC that year and 4-7 overall and this was one of the few highlights of that year.

Fast forward to college at A&M when we had beat Texas 10 years straight.

Mack Brown tried to rekindle that Nixon era highwater mark for the Horns but then the fans ran him out of town on a rail. They have since reverted to form and been incredibly average for another decade.

Most all A&M fans have seen it up close for years and years and just yawn. We know them better than anybody. It is a douchey fanbase and an unproductive program and has been since Ronald Reagan was president.

I am sure that had to be guaranteed as part of whatever deal his family cut. He bolted OSU as he did not have a line of sight to serious playing time.

Why should Aggy be scared of a team it has a winning record over the last 50 years against?

Does not compute

And to top it off, don’t the horns have five seven loss seasons in the last 11 years?

Let that sink in

All I know is that if Texas and Texas AM aren't in the same pod or division one of them will look ultimately weak as shite.

First rule of pods/divisions is keeping all of the in state schools together.

While I agree with you on pairing the state schools, why do you think the schools will actually have a choice of what pod they’re in? Honestly wouldn’t that decision come from a committee of sorts?

Texas has one thing and that is $ and a lot than every other school in the SEC by wide margin - let's see if they use it wisely

Why? They don't even do that in the ACC (NC State/Wake are in a different division than Duke/UNC) or the PAC 12 (Cal/Stanford are in a different division than UCLA/USC).
