Especially with Clemson in the gutter.

I don’t think so. He’s lazy and a weirdo.

Couldn't be worse than Baby Back Bitch Beamer.

Wish we would've gotten Mullen instead of Silverfield. His issues at Florida were due to the fact he quit recruiting, not because he wasn't a good coach. Now, with NIL, you recruit with the checkbook.

Eh.

Does Mullen even want back in the Game ? You could do an lot worse as a semi-retirement gig than UNLV. Very little pressure, and a nice place to live.

He'd have a lot more pressure, and a lot more resources, at SC.

He's a shitload better than NepoBaby. But I don't think this is in Donati's wheelhouse. We also don't have an opening. So, there's that.

not sure he has very little pressure

They hired him after Odom had some success to get them
Into the playoffs and win the mountain west

Less pressure than a P2 gig but it’s not a job like Akron or Idaho

Aight, fair enough.

But the pressure comparison between UNLV and SC is night and day.

Maybe UNLV would be down for a good old fashioned coach swap. That's a level where Beamer could actually learn how to be a coach.

He doesn't like to recruit.

His UNLV team just got curb stomped by North Texas 44-6.

Bring him on. He certainly can't be worse than Beamer.

What now matters is talent evaluation.

I mean it's always mattered, but now it matters even more.

Anyone in the country with a vacancy would have hired Spurrier in 2005.

Tanner had a weird crush on Muschamp, after getting spurned by Tom Herman and Kirby Smart. None of us understood Muschamp as the backup-to-the-backup, either. One of the more overrated coaches of all time.

Being a vegas resident...I disagree. Mullen is not what he once was

I just know I have 2nd hand embarrassment watching Beamer coach on the sideline. A total goober. His team gave Bama fits in 2024 and 2025 though. We barely escaped.

All accurate statements.

Agree. Mullen would not be an upgrade over Beamer and would eventually cost the university in the same way as Muschamp.

Shoutout to lowly Idaho who knocked off FCS number 1 Montana State in one of the weirder finishes I've ever seen. Montana State's coach called a timeout with 1 second left to get the right defensive play call in. And the Vandals promptly tossed the game willing TD.

If something like that had happened at Alabama or Georgia the National Guard would have been called out to stop the riots.

I like Dan Mullen. I think he'd be pretty good almost anywhere he goes.
