Watching some games from last year, but one thing that stands out is what a low-key stud Stidham is. Can easily be a First Round Prospect.

They also return most of an elite defensive front and a ton of good wideouts.

Bama and UGA are talented but lose a ton of production, particularly on defense, from last year.

Don't see it. We don't have a stud running back and no stand out WR's. D will be nasty, but O will struggle.

He's already considered one by many outlets

If we didn't have both UGA and Bama on the road then I would feel better about contending.

Well that's just wrong. Might not have any 1st rounders but several or most of these guys will play on Sunday's. We return all of them including the guy who obliterated our single season catch record. Top to bottom I'd put our WRs against anybody.

Auburn has a good football team. But Auburn will not win the Big 3 road games at State, Georgia, or Bama.

Without a Cam Newton who had a veteran OL- Auburn cannot win the West in even numbered years because of their schedule.

We have to have one or two running backs really step up. We have several with potential but none that are proven.

The offensive line also has to gel and prove itself. They were ok, but not great last year, we lost 2 or 3 starters depending on how you look at it.

We have tons of 4 star talent and one 5 star guy at RB and Oline, but aren't quite sure what we will get out of it this year.

QB, WR, and the entire D are really good, proven and experienced with plenty of depth. So, yeah, I agree Oline play is our big question mark on how far we will go.

State vs Bama decides the West in 2018. Both come in undefeated

West order of finish.

1. Alabama
2. MSU
3. LSU
4. Auburn

Auburn has a weak Oline protecting a skittish QB. There is no reliable RB. The receivers are badly injured. Gus is screwed.

Alabama loses a lot of guys every year though.

Alabama also lost the best defensive coach in the country though, who is now the head coach in Knoxville. The Germy dynasty is coming soon.

Interesting to only go back 6 years. What happens when you go 10?

I just checked because for a second I thought Saban might have retired and left for good.

Nope. Alabama still has Nick Saban as HC. So they sill have the best defensive coach in the country.
