With all HIS issues..How could LMK have the most successful 6 yr run in OLE MISS history??

Please explain. If LMK is such a BAD COACH, a villain, breaking rules, not knowing how to assemble a team, how could the LANE TRAIN have had the most successful 6 year run in OLE MISS FOOTBALL HISTORY!? HOW!!?

Its all the voodoo in Louisiana, and the Indian burial grounds at LSU making Lane act out. It was a perfect rule following citizen at Ole Miss.

Stupid reason...Low bar!??!.....He had them ranked every year for 6 years. Lead the team to the FINAL FOUR last year. ALL LMK's work....

NOBODY says he's a bad coach. He is an offensive genius and learned from Saban the importance of putting together a good staff. And he absolutely nailed realizing the importance of the portal and transfers when some traditional powers preferred to stick with HS recruiting and development.
That said, he did have the benefit of being left a qb with an insane amount of talent. Lane maximized it, but the talent was there for Corral.. Kiffin gets and deserves the majority of the credit for the 6 year run, but he had the benefit of a well run collective and being there at a time when paying players became legal and a lot of fans desperate to get Ole Miss football competitive with the blue bloods. His staff budget was way higher than anything Freeze had and Freeze had some good runs.

All these issues being discussed now about LMK, would have never, ever allowed him to do what he did in his 6 years at OLE MISS......It would have lingered during his stint at Ole Miss. Players would have seen right through him. He would have never been successful.

This is BS, everyone here continues to say Lane is going to fall on his face, but he did not fall on his face at Ole Miss.
As he says there are more resources at LSU, so why does this board want to keep saying he is going to shite the bed?

And he lost these at LSU??? If anything hes gotten a better spot, which is why he left. LSU isnt going to spare any expense and has just as deep if not deeper pockets than Ole Miss.

No, and I'm not going to disagree with this. I understand why Kiffin would want the LSU job and I understand the resources LSU has. Sadly I think he will probably be successful there. Think the point a lot of people make is there were no real expectations at Ole Miss. He can go for a stupid 4th down and if he loses, " well for Ole Miss to beat Bama you have to take risks and do those kind of things" is what people would say. There's no denying Ole Miss was a lot better than Kentucky and Florida in 2024 and we lost those games because of some bad coaching. That's not really debatable. While he is a genius, he still has his WTF moments where you feel like a hs coach would win this game. The pressure is going to be way different at LSU and one can argue the job he had with the most pressure, USC, he failed at tremendously.

LMK will put LSU back to the Saban years. LMK will put LSU in the National Championship talk every year he coaches for LSU in Death Valley....

The Auburn flirting cost him a spot in the 4 team playoff. Chasing his ex GF to Texas cost him a spot in the playoffs in 24. He is good but he does some dumb fricking arse shite.
The best thing he did was be on the front end of the transfer portal stuff and pushed NIL to the point Ole Miss along with Missouri were on the front end of collectives helping pay for NIL. It wasn't all his X's and O's there was absolutely some administrative stuff that helped him build what he built.

Kiffin was a good coach. Offensive genius. Many other positive attributes.
While he was in Oxford he was trying real hard to clean up his personal life. Got his family back together. Moved his dad to Oxford.
He wasn’t a choir boy, and a lot of stuff was swept under the rug. But he was more stable those years than ever before in his adult life.
I’m not sure whether all that is still the case now.

Keith Carter kept him on as short a leash as he could. And Kiffin would still get loose on occasion. Kiffin was successful at Ole Miss, but he was not elite. Ole Miss was never better than the 3rd best team in the conference.
