They embrace a victim hood mentality. It makes sense I guess. The cajuns got run out of Europe because they couldn’t co-exist with others. They ended up in Canada. They couldn’t co-exist there either, and the Canadians ran them out of Canada. They ended up in the God forsaken swamps and bayous of Louisiana because no one else would live there. Once in Louisiana, once again they claimed persecution from the native americans and alligators.

What about the other coaches that he was recruiting against to get all of these guys? What rule(s) is he breaking? What is he saying publicly that is so shameful? People keep saying what you are saying but can never back it up with anything.

The NCAA announces that guys in their mid twenties shouldn’t be competing against 18 year old freshmen. The NCAA says they are changing the rule to address this exact thing before it becomes a problem. This new rule will effectively ban 23 year old and older players from college sports. The rule is advanced but not yet implemented.
How does Will Wade react? He signs a roster of 23-25 year old Europros.
Will Wade’s hubris seems to dictate he does what he knows they are trying to eliminate. Like a kid who does something solely because he was told not to.
He has already snubbed his nose at the NCAA once and told them he is untouchable. At this point it is a pattern.
And yes, in that first case the NCAA proved that Will Wade was in fact not untouchable.
One of the main points of discussion in the implementation of this new rule is whether it will be enforced immediately and retroactively enforced or whether players will be grandfathered in. Will Wade has done nothing but fuel the idea the new rule should be enforced immediately and retroactively.
Correct me if I am wrong, but LSU does not have a player on their roster younger than 22 years old. Will Wade knows that the #1 hot button issue for the NCAA currently is avoiding a roster of first year 22-25 year old players competing against rosters of 18-22 year olds. So what is the first thing Wade does?

Again, what rule did he break and how do you feel about the other coaches that were over there with Wade recruiting these guys?

What rule did he break to do this? Also, these guys aren't even eligible yet and I don't expect that some of them will be eligible.
Again, there is nothing of substance here at all to suggest that Wade has done anything wrong at all. He's competing against other coaches to get these guys.

I’m failing to see where Wade is breaking any current rules.

He has not broken a rule. Yet.
But he sure did exactly what the NCAA told coaches they didn’t want them to do.
Can you name a single roster in college basketball that has nothing but 22-25 year old players? Just one.
Were other coaches scouting overseas players? Of course. We watched Alabama and Nate Oats get crucified here for trying it.
But in true LSU fashion, they didn’t wade into the shallow end, they did a cannonball off the roof while screaming “suck that tiger dick bitch” the whole way down.
After watching Will Wade’s hubris lead to the implosion of the LSU basketball program, it is fascinating to watch their fans welcome him back like a conquering hero. I wonder if people will start referring to the new rule as the Will Wade rule?

I was beginning to worry about you wade. I was afraid you had gotten arrested again for trying to steal frozen pizzas from Dollar General.

It's interesting that captdalton rails against Will Wade for signing "old" players but when Indiana football does it, he describes it as the "right coach" signing the "right roster.

Wade took over one of the worst teams in the NCAA. The transfer portal was garbage. He got a late start on recruiting high school and the transfer portal when he switched jobs. If he had gone the route that everyone is suggesting then lost, they would have said that he sucked. It's okay to start making fun of Wade for not signing any players, but then when he does sign players it's still an issue.

I'm not sure why Dalton seems so worried about what the NCAA "wants".

LSU fans all said this same thing the first go around. They all claimed he had not broken any rules. And technically he hadn’t. Or they couldn’t prove he had.
LSU fans celebrated. WIll Wade got away with it!!! They can’t prove he broke a single rule!!! They won’t do a damn thing!!!
Then the NCAA slapped him with a two year show cause. While the FBI didn’t have enough to charge him, the NCAA didn’t have to abide by the same rules. The code of conduct that coaches agree to gives the NCAA a lot of leeway.
This is not the first time Wade has snubbed his nose at the NCAA. We know how the first time turned out. We will see how the second round goes.
Considering how much damage Will Wade did to LSU, it is bizarre to see the fans welcome him back.

I don’t know why you love to digging up old posts that are completely right. No one is worried about the NCAA in a court of law.
But they can still hand out show causes like Mardi Gras beads. Pull your pants down and show your arse and they may just throw one your way.
