They all claimed he had not broken any rules. And technically he hadn’t.

You seriously typed this out.

I don’t know why you love to digging up old posts that are completely right.

Then you admit that you believe it is okay for Indiana to sign a bunch of 23 year olds, but it is not okay for Will Wade to do it.

Since you are one of the few logical LSU fans here, I will ask you. Why do you think no other coach has done what Will Wade just did - sign a roster of nothing but 22-25 year olds?

But they can still hand out show causes like Mardi Gras beads. Pull your pants down and show your arse and they may just throw one your way.

Now, what do you think happens when someone sues the NCAA for giving them a show cause, for an issue that the court doesn't believe is enforceable?

You're almost there.

Because they had the oppurtunity to build their rosters without having to do this. Wade has already said that this is a one year thing and that he would prefer to go the high school and portal route. Again, Wade just got to LSU which is not exactly known as a basketball school. Trying to just get kids to show up here at the last minute isn't easy.

Frankly, those other coaches didn't sign the guys because Wade did. There is so much hypocrisy around this subject that it is mind boggling. No one is saying a fricking word about the coaches he was over there competing against. Will Wade was hired and paid to win basketball games at LSU which isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. What would you do if you were in such a situation? Hopefully, you would look for the best route for you to deliver success as quickly as possible within the rules. So far, that is all he has done.

Because there was not much of a proof of concept prior to Illinois, this season?

Think the average age of Illinois’ primary players was right around 22.

No. How did you come to that conclusion? Do you really think an Alabama fan likes what Indiana was able to do? Think about that a moment.

What they did was by the letter of the law but not the intent.

I think that the current rules which allow an entire team to transfer are a travesty for the school who took a chance on the players to begin with. The fact that the transfer portal allows an entire roster to transfer, leaving a school with zero players, is not what they intended. If LSU had not had every player leave, they wouldn’t have had so much roster space for Europros.

There is no doubt that the transfer portal is broken. Some people want to find ways to reign it in or fix it. Some people want to push it right to the edge of insanity and then hold their hands up and say “well, there isn’t a specific rule that says I can’t do that.”

Your argument seems to be that because some people commit crimes everyone should be allowed to.

Now that we see that LSU fans believe anyone should be allowed to play, why did LSU fans lose their minds when Bediako tried to return to Alabama? They should have been supporting him. They surely shouldn’t have celebrated when he was ruled ineligible. And yet they did. Many of them have very flexible morals.

If it’s within the current rules, so be it. It will work and everyone will do it, or it won’t. More likely the rules will change.

I agree. LSU fans torched Alabama and Alabama fans for doing the exact same thing Will Wade just did 5X.

As an Alabama fan, I can say Charles Bediako was nothing but a distraction.

What crimes have been committed here? What rules have been broken? None. Just say your pussy hurts because you hate LSU and Will Wade.

Regardless of who is recruiting these former college turned pro players we dont want these dudes back in college.

Their desperation stinks to high heavens.

Cant answer for every Bosnian that chooses euro pro when they are 16 but I know for a fact every underclassmen college kid that turns pro did so thinking they were not only done with college sports but that they were too special for it.

I will use your own words. Indiana broke no rules.

As I stated in this very thread though, it goes against the intent of the rule. I don’t like they were able to do it.

Have you ever heard the saying “just because you can do something does not mean you should”?

For example, it is completely within the law for you to go to the grocery store every day, buy 20 apple pies, go home, and eat every single one of them while sitting in your underwear watching a reruns of Judge Judy. There is no law or rule against it. But I would suggest to you that is probably not a good idea.

Now if it was sidewalker, my response would be different. I would encourage him to not be a pussy and eat 50 of them every day. And wash them down with 5 quarts of old burned motor oil. Again, not against any rules or laws. And as I have learned here, if it is not against the rules it is ok.

They did it for money. Unless and until NIL and the portal are curtailed you/we can bitch about it all we want, but these coaches with careers on the line are going to take every competitive advantage they can get to win games. And they don’t give a country shite what you and captdalton think.

Normal people regularly have changes of opinion. I know you do not, that is just part of your condition and not your fault.
