2039 will mark 100 years since their last national championship. Can they break through or will the drought hit triple digits?

they'll definitely break through before then. hell they almost won it all last year

All I can do is take comfort in the fact that we have the resources to actually win one at some point.
Glad I am not a Hog fan.

Better question-
Will piggie ever have a winning SEC season again?
Even better question-
Will piggie beat A&M before they win a nattie?

probably, the amount of money they throw will continue to rise until they do. I've never seen so much desperation

I think in the modern NIL/portal era as currently constituted, they are bound to
That being said, if at some point guard rails get put in place on the NIL and Portal via collective bargaining/anti-trust or something of that nature, I think this would hurt them more than other large, big spender universities like OSU
on the other hand I think it would help schools like Bama if guard rails were put up

certain schools have already shown they are unafraid of paying players under the table

Yes, and when all things are equal, things that mattered before NIL/portal jumped the shark will become important again, if only to a lesser degree
It will never be like it was, but it can be better than it is

A bigger question is will Arky beat Texas A&M even once in the next decade? I seriously doubt it.

You mean when they didn’t score a touchdown in their home playoff game?

No telling. It takes an element of luck to win it all as well as a stacked roster.

If Indiana, a basketball school and football bottom feeder can do it, A&M can as well. Will they, probably not…

They throw a ton of money in it..so would not doubt it. It is amazing Texas and Texas A&M are not running away with shite in the NIL era.

We’ll beat Arky 12-13 more times by then, and our next natty will come before Arky has another.

Look attention has gotten bigger. The athletic budget has gotten bigger.
I say let’s find out how the coaching staff handles it. I like Elko’s demeanor. Not a lot of talking.
