LSU is 9-1 when Leonard Fournette gets 100yds or more. I like our chances.

Harris is JJ 2.0. Can't wait until November.

Does it matter what the stat line is no matter if LSU wins? 03 LSU v Ole Miss. 4th Q ole miss has negative rush yards. Just play the damn game then talk. Let football be football. Doesn't matter what statistic you have as long as you win.

Probably but he doesn't need to:
quote:
the numbers show that this is an extremely effective offense. LSU currently ranks No. 12 IN THE NATION in yards per play. That's not yards per carry, but yards per play. Here is the list:
Baylor 9.40
USC 8.06
Texas Tech 7.71
TCU 7.46
Georgia 7.37
Notre Dame 7.36
North Carolina 7.29
Western KY 7.23
Southern Miss 7.20
Ole Miss 6.99
Houston 6.97
LSU 6.96
LSU is No. 34 in the nation in the most important offensive stat, scoring offense, just behind No. 33 Alabama by 0.2 points per game.

It is amazing and a thing of beauty. The look in defenders eyes when they stack the box and realize they still can't stop the run! Priceless!!!

I guess that Reuben will just have to reintroduce himself to Lynyrd.

he'll have 2 postseason games to pad his stats so I'm sure he'll have 1100 or so.

Who do you think you lose to in the playoff?
Posted on 10/9/15 at 9:29 am to GumpDyke
Some say yes, some say no.
It is one of the burning questions of our time without doubt, requiring the best of mankind's intellectual attention.
Just hope we can all figure it out.

I'll try to reason with LSU Fans here who are blindly supportive of our abject abortion of a passing offense. In order to do so, I'll actually utilize a Biblical reference. Stay with me here...
Joseph interpreted Pharoh's Dreams and in doing so became blessed and highly favored as a result. Any of us who have gone to Sunday School for any amount of time should be able to remember this section of Scripture. But even those of you who aren't regular Sunday Service Members should be able to grasp the point and how it relates to LSU and its passing game here.
The dream ultimately indicated that Egypt as a nation would enjoy 7 years of plenty, followed by 7 years of famine. As a result, Pharaoh stored his grain and food while he had the ability to save and sure enough, when famine came following the 7 years of plenty, Egypt was able to survive and thrive as a result.
If you can't see why this applies to LSU, let me be more blunt about it:
LSU is 4-0 and essentially almost through with its 7 years of plenty. The 7 years of famine are ahead of us. The question is whether we prepared for those years of famine...
IE-We could've developed the passing game as much as we wanted during the first four games, and five come Saturday evening. These games were difficult at times but never in doubt.
The reason you would prepare the passing game isn't for these first 4-5 games. It's for the back-end of our schedule, when teams like Alabama, Ole Miss, and to a lesser extent Florida and Arkansas come to town and will do their best to make us one-dimensional.
If we have not made hay while the sun shines, to use another metaphor, we will find ourselves in our seven years of famine with no grain stored.
Someone-and maybe multiple someones-on our schedule is going to stop our running game. Or at some point, LF7 may turn an ankle and be limited. The question in many logical, reasonable LSU Fan's minds at that point will be, "Damn I hope that we passed it enough to be able to move the chains 4-6 times a game when we've got to now that LF7 can't get it done or is getting stopped."
If any LSU Fan asks that question and feels confident the answer is yes...they're fairly feeble-minded.
I know, I know...tl;dr...

LSU is ranked #47 in Total Offense with 430 yards per game. What difference does it make how those yards are gained?

Besides the Clintonesque memories your last sentence evokes...Do you really not understand the desirability of being able to execute multiple aspects of offensive football in order to be as diverse as possible?
Do you fail to see the value in being able accomplish a task using multiple means of execution?

Maybe. But Leonard Fournette is defiantly breaking every SEC rushing record.

Your response to us needing to pass is a picture of a DE that was on his back more than his feet last year. He thrives in pass rushing and sucks against power running. Don't expect much passing there.
Are you fricking stupid? That is my sig pic.

Kinda like asking if the Aggies will ever have a legit SEC running game. You know, the kind that actually still gets yards while playing legit defenses.

Harris just needs to concentrate on throwing it far enough up field that it's not ruled a lateral.
He'll get there.
You obviously haven't watched any of LSU this year. I wish we'd throw it to the RB's or throw quick screens, slants, and drags. Instead, we heavily rely on the long ball when it comes to passing, which is why his numbers are so low (along with drops).

Dear God-
I'm scared. Please don't let LSU win any more. Please don't let LSU win anymore. Please don't let LSU win any more. Please don't let LSU win any more.
Amen.
