It is amazing and a thing of beauty. The look in defenders eyes when they stack the box and realize they still can't stop the run! Priceless!!!
I agree with this. Ecstatic about our season and SEC Champ! Only thing that stings is the way we played on offense 1/9. Glad an SEC team won it for the sixth in a row. It is a bit odd that we are SEC champs and another SEC team is BCS Champs.I was raised on SEC football and the belief that we rarely got NC's (except Bama) due to beating the shite out of each other all season. I think there will be serious consideration for the plus one model and if they do not put in a clause to make same conference teams play in the first round, then we may have many more SEC vs SEC BCS battles because SEC rules baby!

LSU, LSU, LSU!!!!!!

I will never appreciate BH. He needs to stop blasting LSU nationally before I demand Jake Delhomme take his job!

I've felt like this too just because i'm sick of the JJ JL threads here. That being said I foresee JR or SR throwing 2 TD's in the spring game and Mett starting 1st game w/ 2 3 and outs and a pick and bam we're off again! Just enjoy the ride. :geauxtigers:

I could see them doing that this year but what if you had an East and West team meet in SEC Champ, both undefeated and loser doesn't drop out of top 4. They would then have to rematch for chance at MNC? Seems like that would negate the SEC champ game which SEC should be against. Make em win their way back to a rematch in MNC would make more sense to me.

My $.02 on the rematch.

Personally I was against it just because of the perception of it nationally since Okie St. made a strong case. I do think ESPN promoted this and now will feast on the controversy to push for the plus 1. Make no mistake, if there was a plus 1 this year, the same 2 teams would be playing for the MNC. We would kill Stanford and Bama would beat - kill Okie State. I think we take Bama in N.O., but if we were to lose, I admit it would be hard to grasp being SEC champs and Bama being BCS champs. Having said that, I think with a plus 1 the SEC dominance would be further exposed and will become common for 2 SEC teams to meet in MNC game.

Thanks for all the responses. There are definitely some informed TD Defensive expert responses in here. I agree with the 2nd poster that if you exploit a group it would be the LBers but that being said is it that our LB core is just average or is there talent overshadowed by how good the secondary and D Line is. I certainly think Baker has a chance of making an NFL roster. Are there any others? What say you?
It seems to me thinking back that most of MSU's offense that produced yards was throwing to the RB's coming out of the backfield. Is this something our SEC foes may p/u on and try to exploit? In our defense who is responsible for the RB? Is it a LB, and do we lack coverage skills in our LBers? Anybody else notice this or is it just me? Our secondary is absolutely sick!

Off Rankings

Seems to me our production is up since being ranked in the 100s for offensive production. Completing almost 70% of passes. Ranked in top 25 for passing and total offense. Lee has outperformed my expectations so far and the handoffs don't bother me as much as the happy feet. After Claiborne's pick JL took a sack that he couldv'e stepped up and outside tackles and got rid of the ball. This could hurt us against AL if you believe they will make a living in our backfield all night but I believe our O Line will be up to the task.

:geauxtigers: And go JL!
Dan, Thanks for the breakdown and also whomever posted the link to video as well. I would love see this after every game especially with a less pessimistic narrative, if possible. JL's job was to get the ball in the playmakers hands and for the most part I thought he did. Michael Irving was "The Playmaker" and not because every ball Troy thew hit him in the #'s and he ran for a TD. He got the nickname because if you put the ball around him the majority of the time, he won the battle. I'm optimistic that with more reps we will win more of these battles and the offense will be more productive.
I also think that although this will not be close to the best defense we face this year, there was some serviceable SEC talent in there secondary. OBJ in endzone was great coverage and the lick on Clement over the middle was nice. Although Gildon would not see the field in our secondary this year, most years he prolly would.

Thanks again and :geauxtigers:

Don't know why you were asking for proof anyway, as stated earlier in the thread Jacques Douche' reported on WAFB that CT had a concussion and it could be season-ending. I also have never heard of a season-ending concussion but I'm sure you can find the story somewhere on WAFB.

re: Who loves Miles??

IMO Miles is a good coach and I like his style. I'm for stealing posessions every now and then, bringing in the 1st team D on the goalline against SEC foes even when the game is decided, loved the snicker on his face when he put the fake FG on Spurrier. He also had the Doucet package to combat the Tebow package for the Florida game a few years ago. The Ole Miss game last year was hard to swallow but he has shown me he will do what it takes to correct mistakes (Co Dc's, new offensive coaches this yr.) I believe his clock mgmt skills will be better this yr and the sky is the limit.
Geaux Miles and :geauxtigers:
True, but it is not often we get bailed out on our mistakes. It was a mistake to hire this arse clown 14 mos ago and I'd be thanking USC for bailing TN out of this one. USC is the loser in this situation.
