The SEC is crushing the BIG in TV ratings and beyond absurd that your conference makes more in TV revenue.

Not sure why this surprised anyone. The big ten has a lot of markets in professional sports regions. The SEC does too, but the fans in the south aren’t really into their NBA and NFL teams like they are up north. Baseball is a bit different. In Ohio, gullible fans are still drawn to shitty Browns and Bengals games. Indiana has the Colts, although now their college team has a pulse for the first time in history.

Penn State comes close to the energy and passion of a true southern school because the campus is nowhere near a major metro area. So the locals and the students all get behind the Nittany lions.

So what does this have to with CFB ratings? If you look further at the article you'll find that 17 out of the top 25 rated CFB matchups were SEC games and only 2 were BIG matchups.

TV execs at Fox and CBS made a huge miscalculation
in estimating the popularity of the BIG regardless of the markets they're in.

You're FOS. Saints suck but you would be hard pressed to find a more passionate fanbase. Your conference sucks. OSU plays 1 team per season. The matchups are weak, week after week.

Every game is basically a blowout against a weak conference opponent.

They made tenner look like an fcs squad so to be fair I doubt many teams outside the big would have faired better

Ohio State has to play Michigan and then a conference championship game. It’ll be ok

Money, get away from toxic people and family trying to piggyback off of you, and to travel.

that gap has closed a lot since NIL

I think it was 75-71 last year, and every year since NIL it's been shrinking more

Clemson

Seriously.
Your post indicates you do not mind getting spanked by
LSU (7-4)
GT
Syracuse (Seriously, Syracuse?) (3-8)
SMU
Duke (6-5)

I would think a Clemson fan would refrain from talking crap about someone else's losses.

Think OSU-Michigan matchup might just rank up there in ratings.

And if OSU holds serve, the BIG Champ game (OSU- Indiana) will likely outdraw the vaunted SEC game…..

If the sec was as competitive as some of you guys seem to think it is, everyone would go 4-4 in conference every season. Really the sec is just as top heavy as the big ten, in any given year the top 1-3 teams in the conference arent really losing to anyone else in the conference besides each other, and most of the games arent particularly close when the top teams are playing everyone else.

If you look at any of the recent sec national champions, they probably blew out almost everyone on their schedule outside of maybe one or two games.

When your talent is head and shoulders above anyone else in the country like Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia etc, you're generally going to win big most games, outside of playing other top teams or an occasional let down game here or there.

Sit this one out pal, osu last 5 games were against teams with current losing records.

Throw in Grambling and Ohio and 7/11 of OSU's games were pure trash. Washington and Illinois exposed as fraud by Wisconsin. Just bullshite football.

Dude.

We are Clemson's daddy.

8-2 the last 10 and 44-18-4 overall?
Also, Alabama is Clemson's daddy, too. 14-5 overall. It would appear most SEC teams are Clemson's daddy.

Nah. I’ll stay here. Let me know the last time a defending national champ doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt. Beat OSU if you want to shut them up. I think they’ll lose in the playoffs this year but until then, they are on top of CFB

You just played Rutgers with a 33 point spread.

You don't see anywhere near that much of a spread in the SEC.
