Why so much Recruit Flip Flopping between Bama & Auburn?

I don't think I've ever seen this much before. I would think with the rivalry so intense that if a player makes a commitment to either school they would never change it.

To us it's just a rivalry. To them it's also their futures.

Because the road to a BCS Championship runs through the state of Alabama

In his defense he said state of Alabama. Which would be the same amount...

^^ This more than anything, IMO.
The recruits are torn b'twn the two schools like never before. Both teams have been very successful lately and both schools finished with damn good recruiting classes this yr.
It would be perfectly fine with me if things continued on this path of success.

My theory is that the FBI was around the Auburn football program investigating Camgate from October-January. Now things have cooled down so they can use some extra incentives to lure in recruits.
Thats just my take on it.

Everyone says this about their school when they win. Fact is no SEC school has won the SEC 2 years in a row since Tennessee in I think '97/'98. And no CF school has won back to back BCSNC's.

From a Tennessee fan really? I would just sit there quietly in a corner until the whole kiffen thing is dealt with unless you are just trying to get it over with now while you still have some room to talk.

Auburn was able to pull two shockers and have a life-long Bama fan (BC) committ to Auburn. Alabama was able to turn him, they even listed him as a RB on the list they provided the media. Bottom Line: Alabama offered a chance to play RB (who cares how long that last).
With regards to Cyrus, it was a SHOCK that Auburn was in on this kid, but he fell in love with Auburn, did not want to hurt his brothers chances of starting at TACKLE, and made some friends at the UA game. He has known the Alabama coaches for 3 years, his family is comfortable with them and Auburn is their biggest rival. Still it happens, Auburn has Eric Smith, Bama got Petey Smith. I have no idea where CK goes, but my gut tells me Iowa.

One or both of these schools may not be competing at CUSA level, if they keep getting caught up in scandals. Wouldn't you know that Alabama has two scandal-ridden programs? Says alot about the culture.

This. The checks are getting more zeros at the end every day.

I believe you meant BCS titles. Alabama has two crystal footballs.

I think it comes down to having two extremely aggressive coaching staffs on the recruiting trail. Tuberville got some great players to come to Auburn, but when Saban came onto the scene, he just couldn't match the intensity. I think we're seeing that Chizik and co will.
