Those teams would still have an advantage over the other ten.

How so? It's not like any of them would be keeping Vandy or Kentucky. If anyone would be disadvantaged at the current time, it would be Tennessee, and they'd be happy to do it.

Bama has played Florida 6 times in the last 7 years. You think we should play them more than that?

Two of those were in SECCG's which has nothing to do with scheduling. The other four were two rounds of the CURRENT rotation, which you are trying to do away with.

I don't think anyone gets why representatives of the big, bad SEC Champs are down in Destin making up new terms for "It's not fair!! " You realize they are basically getting laughed out of the room, right? It is simply unbecoming of a championship program...

because its retarded to go 12 years between playing a conference opponent

Once again, the lead proposal will be 6 years rather than 12. I would also prefer a 9 game schedule which would help as well.

Part of the deal for everyone to agree to expansion back in 1992 was that Bama, Auburn, Tennessee, and Georgia were promised they would get to keep their rivalries using a cross divisional format. That is still the case today and is not going to change. It's an 11-3 vote right now with only LSU, USC and aTm opposing.

I stopped right here. Are you serious with this shite?

my bad. I thought I specified, but I didn't. I meant they have just as much tradition as Notre Dame to get back to being a top ten team. Just like ND. UT will use their tradition to their advantage, as well.

I didn't meant they had the same amount of tradition, in general. my bad.

But, see.... Cotton was sacrificed for the greater good, and right as his neck was snapped, he was blaming his wrongness on the love other of his kind gave him.

Then LSU should have voted against expansion in 1992 and in 2012. Cross-division opponents were agreed upon by everyone in 1992, including LSU. Funny how LSU had no problem with UF being their cross-opponent back when Florida was just starting to win a few games and now bitches when UF turned into a national power. In 1992 when this was agreed upon, Tennessee was by far the best East program and Bama agreed to that with open arms.

Glad you're taking a Texas style approach to this, instead of agreeing with the logic in no permanents.

Again, if it were just about fairness in scheduling, then Tennessee would be on LSU's side because we don't benefit from playing Alabama every year.

Compared to those. LSU hasn't had any strong rivals..... I'd take the UF game in a heartbeat and make it one of the biggest rivalries in CFB. Just my opinion though.

True. Ole Miss waaaaaaay back in the day. I'm really confident LSU/A&M will develop within the conference. Success seems to help any rivalry also. If LSU continues to do pretty well and Sumlin does as good a job at A&M as I think he will, I think these two will settle into a very natural rivalry. A long OOC history, close geographically, much recruiting overlap. I really hope the game becomes and stays last game of regular season, possible given some 'name' tag (______? Bowl), and possibly some type trophy for winner.
