Not sure why you guys keep dragging Ole Miss into your smack week but knock it off. We get kicked around enough when we play.

Arkansas moving to the SEC was the best decision it has ever made. It was done to get away from Texas politics that ruled the SWC and destroyed it.

The merge between the SWC and Big 8 forming the Big 12 was not guaranteed and talked about in the early 90s. Arkansas was tired of dealing with Texas and had a good chance of being left out if they didn't join the SEC. They needed to act NOW.

The biggest reason why Arkansas football has sucked since 1992 is because relative to other SEC schools they don't take it serious enough and aren't willing to win at all costs.

Frank Broyles had a tight grip on the program and made sure the program was clean as it could be. This is why he passed over coaches like Barry Switzer and Jimmy Johnson because both would have put Arkansas on major probation from an NCAA in a time when they had no problem giving out the death penalty.

You know it’s going be really cold when you play Arkansas this weekend. They might pull the upset home field advantage.

He made the same comment after Arkansas blew two double digit leads back in 2016. I gave up my season tickets because if they don't care then why should I?

Central Arkansas is getting better in football but crime and political corruption has destroyed football in the area.

People don't know but Central High School has the most football state titles in the nation.

Arkansas is slow to change and don't have the mental capacity to think in terms of a major football program should think.

"They compete for in state recruits with Monticello and fricking Pine Bluff."

Uhh there in lies the problem. It's like saying Alaska U only has to compete with Anchorage State for recruits.

The state of Arkansas highest ranked player in this cycle is a composite 4 star, 130th ranked. The rest are nothing but 3 and 2 stars for the entire damn state.

That's unheard of. It's almost like an NFL team being relegated to only 3rd-4th rd picks to start the draft.

He deliberately killed the program in order to further himself professionally.

Rasheed Lawrence and Will Campbell.

Both went to my high school and I know the coaching staff and I think it is Rashard actually. His mom worked with my wife at an elementary school in Monroe when he was coming up at Neville. Great family btw. His and Will's. Anyway, I don't think Arkansas really chases Neville kids and I am not sure they even chase WM kids either. I have never seen any of the top tier kids from NE LA list Arkie on their list of schools recruiting them which is surprising considering that everyone from LA just thinks North LA is Arkansas anyway. Obviously LSU owns NE LA but Bama and TCU sneak a few away here and there and LA Tech and ULL pick up the rest which is also odd considering ULM doesn't chase but a select few of the kids in their backyard either.

We’ve recruited there some but not much, and I’m not sure why we don’t either. Devion warren was from somewhere around Monroe.

Why do we rag on programs like Aggie and Ole Miss and never mention the mediocre Piggies?

It’s pretty much been answered but here ya go:

most RebelLandSharks are pretentious look at me and how fancy I am types who can’t give you directions to Atlanta. They are the closest in distance to Baton Rouge and the longest standing rival of the three. Since 2000 they are 6-16 against LSU.

All Texas 4fiet&8 Aggies are a weird arse cult, there are a few that are really down to earth and good folks but still even they live the obsessive world that revolves around their rings and midnight yell practice with weirdo gay guys in overalls… it is non stop and their life all the time. At least Ole Miss has baseball, beautiful campus and women. They also can’t give directions to Atlanta, were forced on us as the end of season rivalry game, but in all honesty it made more sense as it’s still way closer than Fayetteville and Arky & Mizzou are closer as well. Since the 2011 bowl game (year before they joined) they are 2-9 against LSU.

I say all that to say that for the most part Razorbacks are normal down to earth folks, they don’t talk all kinds of shite with nothing to back it up and unlike the two you are comparing them too, they put a pretty damn good product on the field more routinely. Since 2000 they are 8-14 against LSU and have been to Atlanta 3 times overall. Oh and they have one of the top baseball programs and fan bases in the country to boot.

It’s unheard of in the SEC for sure.

What’s weird is the state is producing basketball talent like crazy, relative to its population level. Central Arkansas kids lost interest in football somewhere in the 00s and switched to basketball

One of the byproducts from the the desegregation court case. Kids started being bused out of schools in their own communities, to other parts of the city. This had an adverse effect on community support of the “neighborhood schools.”
Also, the athletic budgets were the first to get hit, to pay for the buses and drivers and fuel and maintenance, to bus the kids around. There were other administrative decisions that contributed to the situation. Basically lawyers got rich and the districts got broke and most parents didn’t want their kids bused across town to start with. But, the government is smarter than us, so….

The few programs in Central Arkansas that have survived, or have reestablished themselves, have done so with good community support.

Yes indeed. OVERALL athletics are very healthy and prosperous at Arkansas U.

Its all about recruiting and we are isolated. Comparing Ark and Aubbie is nutts. They have more d1 talent 100 miles from campus than we do in 500.

We ran off the only coach that have us any long term success in the sec. Nutt averaged winning 7.5 games a year with mostly 11 game schedules. We tan him off like idiots.

Arkansas has football talent more than what people think.

I watched Arkansas high school football for over 20 years and no one wastes talent in the state more than Central Arkansas.

An honorable mention that use to produce a lot of talent was the Pine Bluff schools.

Nutt ran himself off because when Arkansas cycles up and they are good enough to win an SEC title, he fricks it up time and time again. See 06 and 07 seasons.

That is the difference in the past with better coaches that when Arkansas cycles up, they take full advantage.

This is the SEC, home of the Bible Belt, so to paraphrase:
