But how many QBs would be great in that system with the players around him? Probably a lot. Most of his highlights are really just his WRs & RBs wide open or those guys making ridiculous catches.

So.....2019 Burrow?

He is Daniel Jones 2.0 If a team loves Daniel Jones game then I guess they would love Mac Jones game as well. He will be an OK QB in the NFL but not going to be a franchise QB. I think with the 3rd pick in the draft you should be looking for a franchise QB. San Fran are idiots if they take Mac JOnes with the 3rd pick in the draft but looks like a good chance what they are going to do.

Every organization including the Salvation Army passed on Aaron Rogers including one Nick Saban.

How many black Cam Newtons has college football produced since 2011? Keep drafting those spread QB's.

Lol, Daniel Jones is more of a dual threat guy.
His accuracy is suspect.
He clocked like 23 mph or something last year.

Y’all just proving that you have no idea about Mac.

LOL! Dude if he didn’t put the ball in a perfect spot, they don’t have a chance to catch those.

can he do it when faced with a pass rush though? Lot of OB's can do that in practice with no pass rush facing them throwing to WR's who aren't being covered, which was basically the situation Mac Jones was in during games.

I have no idea where or if he will be drafted, but if a team is putting up money do you think they would want a guy that has a great work ethic, smart, and accurate?

Or would they want a guy that is dumb as hell, mildly accurate, and an ok work ethic?

Their "analysis" amounts to identifying a mediocre white QB and comparing Mac to him.

If he played anywhere but bama he would've been Jake Fromm.

Not even close.

Mac Jones was slinging it into tight windows and dropping the ball on the money consistently. You can blame it on his supporting cast all you want but go watch the film. The guy made some unbelievable throws time and time again. He is much closer to TLaw than he is to Jake Fromm, that I promise you.

So you're saying 2020 Alabama is the greatest team of all time?

Thanks.

He is a smart QB with a good work ethic. 37 on the wonderlick. He went to Duke. He didn't put up the stats that Mac did in college as he played in a system at a school where he had to face a pass rush and throw into tight windows to covered receivers. He is pretty similar to Daniel Jones, but less proven.

I honestly think a lot of these morons see a WR catch a deep ball in stride with a half step on the DB before outrunning him to the end zone and chalk it up to "hitting a wide open receiver" because of how easy the play looked.

Which QB does anyone know of that was taken in the first round that played with nothing but bad players around him? Every QB has talent around them to a certain extent. Hell even Patrick Mahomes had a few good players on his Texas Tech teams. The notion that Mac Jones and Alabama QBs are only successful because of the players around them isnt accurate at all and borderline disingenuous

And I watched the leading passer in SEC history (Aaron Murray) continually miss deep shots along with the a guy QB that was taken 1st overall (Matt Stafford)

Those aren't easy passes to complete.
