I don't hate Urban but I do think he's a bit of a bitch. frick Auburn but him voting them behind Oregon leading up to the national championship for the 2010 season because he was butthurt about came was weak af. Even Saban voted them number 1 going into that game.

I recognize him as one of the best college coaches in the country. Not sure how he will do in the NFL. It's such a different animal. But no, I don't like him personally. He seems like a phony douche to me.

OP is stupid.

UM has proven he's a little bitch three times in high profile situations. He's a shitty person. He's inauthentic - a fraud. Integrity and character don't register on Meyers radar. When the going gets tough Meyer quits. I think he'll be a spectacular failure in the NFL.

I think winning is everything to Meyer. The thought of losing makes him sick. Coach Saban has stated the fear of losing drives him more than the joy of winning.

Why Do Bama Fans hate Urban Meyer so much?
Because he was GOAT for a short time, and everyone hates a GOAT.

Yeah but he faced Saban in 2014 and spanked him?

One win does not make hate. Orgeron beat Alabama one time, we do not hate him.

Why do LSU fans hate nick saban so much? You’re asking a very stupid question

I can't speak for Alabama fans in general but I just think he's a scumbag. I have no doubt he has a medical condition but I don't think it precludes him from coaching.

I think his first "health scare" was a realization that in trying to recruit well enough to become a dynasty in Gainesville that he had built the entire program on a shoddy foundation. So he bailed to wait for the next elite program with a great recruiting footprint to come open.

I think his second "health scare" was a realization that the Zach Smith wife beating cover up had permanently destroyed his ability to go into living rooms and recruit an athlete's mother. So he bailed to wait for the next NFL opportunity where he could immediately draft the QB he'd need to be successful in the NFL.

He's a great coach who can put a winning product on the football field but he's essentially exactly what everyone wants Saban to be (but he's actually not even close to it). Meyer is the archetypical amoral win-at-all-costs coach

Nobody was hating on Urban. They were simply referring to the abrupt departure from UF after Alabama beat them in the SECCG and won the Natty. He was smart enough to realize that Saban was taking over the conference, and it was time to leave, so he made the public aware of his "heart condition" and subsequent resignation. Hell, Tuberville did basically the same thing.

I saw a Facebook post on 24/7 about how Meyer is heading back to the NFL. Then came the bombardment of comments of Alabama fans bashing the guy saying his heart won’t make it and he will quit. I didn’t know the hate was so strong. Is this true? If so why?

Nope, it's really never been the relationship Alabama and Florida have had in their rivalry. And these 2 teams have met more times and against each other in the SECCG than anyone else.

Personally, Urban has fessed up to his emotional issues away from football. This game is hard on that illness.

I doubt Bama fans dislike him any more than any other fanbase, but you're kidding yourself if you think Urban is a generally likeable person.

But not by the players themselves. They apparently love playing for him. It will be interesting to see how grown men feel about it.

That's a 6 fold increase over where we are. That's being in playoff consideration.

This is why some Bama fans hate him.

Top all time coaches winning %

There are also a lot of Bama fans who loved to play against him for the same reason. Love him or hate him, he can coach.
