Zach Fulton still plays for the Chiefs.

Fulton, Thomas and James are all starters in the NFL. Very talented guys but more importantly very intelligent. I think Hall will be good (who knows how good) and have heard he is very smart as well but too early to say on the rest of our young linemen. The interior of our line will be all upperclassmen next year. Will be interesting to see what happens at LT. Richmond could be more like Tiny. Obviously talented but not much there mentally.

You're right when I looked him up I saw he was from Detroit and must've gotten confused.

Hall is impressive, especially for a true freshman. He did better at tackle than could've been hoped for given the circumstances. As for Richmond, I'm hoping he lives up to his potential and if he's like Tiny then that's great for us although it may hurt him just a tad in the NFL (smarter linemen tend to do better). Tiny was more impulsive than anything else. I wouldn't say he was dumb just average and impulsive.

He's lost most of the big games he's been in. But Georgia is a big game, SC in 2013 was a HUGE game. If you're gonna sport that Power T, at least turn off your hate boner long enough to make correct statements.

I like Tennessee but that doesn't mean I have to like Butch Jones.

Agree, I don't like Jones either. In fact, I've thrown a plethora of bricks at that motherfricker, but that doesn't mean I have to make incorrect statements about him.

Good post George.

My question is, does anyone really think we will go 7-5 next year?

We just went 9-4 this year (took a couple of meltdowns for us to even lose a couple of those) and our team is going to be significantly better in 2016 and I'd say our schedule is slightly easier.

If we go 11-3 with a loss in the SEC title game this year and a NY6 bowl win will people still say Butch sucks?

What would it take for everyone to respect him?

Speaking in terms of just regular season, I don't know how he doesn't win at least 9. 4 or 5 losses would be horrible looking at the schedule next year. The only way I see that happening if some of the bottom dwellers of the East have a great and unexpected season. Butch would also have to choke hard.

Anybody that doesn't believe Butch has done wonders for the program is kidding themselves. He has stacked a lot of talent in a short amount of time. It's clear this is not the UT of a few years ago.

THAT BEING SAID, he hasn't proven he's a game day coach. He's lost many games he had leads or chances in.

Fulmer wasn't some magical game day coach either.

If you can build an elite program and recruit lights out you can have a damn good stint as an HC even if you are just an "average game day coach".

I can't remember many defenses having more total coverage busts than that team. It seemed like they had 7-8 total miscommunications in the secondary every single game.

Sounds like Clemson in the title game.

Code for "finally, someone agrees with us".

Doolander was all the things you're saying Butch was. He came in and recovered the program from the turmoil it was going through. Yeah, he didn't amount to shite, but that was supposed to be the foundation that Butch was then supposed to be a legit hire on.

ETA: In short, you're moving the goal posts.
Do you even watch football?

You sound jealous because Auburn's program is crashing and burning faster than a Japanese Zero in a suicide dive, and Tennessee's program is on the rise.

Yeah. Guys need to realize you need 7 years to build a program in the SEC.

5-7
7-6
9-4
Preseason Top 10

I mean, I think Jones is an average coach and a very good recruiter, but when you are starting with a group with about 5 NFL players on the entire roster......that isn't exactly a terrible progression.
