Will be wearing #99
Big Dong Kong is going to take Kahlil's old #1 and he had this to say

quote:
Kongbo on being asked if he was planning on 1 and done or not: "I am coming to win a National Championship...if it takes 3 years I will be there 3 years...if it takes 1 then I guess I am gone"

I think it's selfless and a wonderful gesture by players to offer their jersey to incoming 'cruits.

Kongo one and done is a bit much. Love his upside but that's exactly the point super raw, tremendous upside. Remember all the "big" talk and anticipation of K-Mc? How'd his first year go?
I'm excited to see what he has out on field but let's be honest he's going to have a nice wake-up call and welcoming to the SEC, a far cry from Western Arizona College, the ACCAC, or the WSFL

:govols:

Numbers-wise, I wish we could flip the number of DEs we have for the number of DTs. Just for the heck of it...I'll take a wild swing as to what the 2-deep might look like...

DE: Barnett, Phillips
DE: Vereen, Kongbo
DT: O'Brien, McKenzie
DT: Tuttle, Johnson
LB: JRM, McDowell
LB: Kirkland, Jumper
LB: Smith, Bynum
CB: Sutton, Byrd
CB: Martin, Moseley
SS: TKJ, Jennings
FS: Berry, Warrior
NB: Gaulden, Foreman

Keep in mind Shoop prefers the Star so don't see us using the Nickel much.

Star = Gaulden, Foreman, and Sapp

Interested to see the progress Taylor's made. Freakishly agile and quick for his size, good speed. If he's still around 230 he may get a look at Star too just because he's too athletic to not be on the field

Creamer too.

Smith moving to DE

Don't really consider Williams a hidden gem. Underrated? Yes

Home stretch These three

Got the three plus two nice surprises Byrd and Williams. Would have been nice to land Dickerson but I'm not complaining

Moss signed w/ Utah

Brown is the one remaining ???

Regardless, a Fulmer-istic job by Jones on the finish.
LewDawg, when you have a moment please edit to read "NFL Comeback Player of the Year" TIA

Imagine a rotation of Trent Thompson, Brown, Rochester, and Tyler Clark.

Thompson looked good early-mid season 'til the injuries. Can he stay healthy and avoid what the Barns Lawson has had to go through?

Like Rochester and Clark

You lost four from the D-line rotation, Rockers got his work cut out

It's juco recruiting. He doesn't even know where he's going.

He started playing f'ball what, last week? Instant star. Who can blame his wide-eyed kid in a candy store actions?

Let him have fun and enjoy the ride while he can

If it's one thing you can always count on in recruiting, it's a crystal ball prediction. Nice pickup

Yeah, that and "the checks in the mail"

Thanks just the same

One of the deepest and most talented DT's classes in a long, long time

Big wknd!

Imagine a rotation of KMc, Tuttle, Vickers, O'Brien + Brown, Johnson, Picou, Mixon, & Mosley

Tough call on this one. Seems solid, but this is all from the UM board so you would expect some bias.

I think we're in good position atm. A good visit could be the tipping point

Might want to check your history books. Saban's never lost a national championship game.

Silly me, distracted by my one yr old should read playoff, not gm.

This September, Saban called Meyer “the best” coach in football

No surprise given his NC playoff defeat to said coach months earlier

Saban is not the greatest coach ever but he is in the top two or three

Meyer opined. Thanks Urbie for your $.02 on a subjective topic

BTW, how's the chest pains?

That's 90% of the reason we recruited him

It's easy to sum up. Rivals was the best, then some of their top people left and formed 247. Rivals still has some quality, but now 247 is the best
