I haven't seen a ton of optimism about the 2018 offense. People are eager to see what a new QB can do because the options have much more athletic talent than Danny Etling, but the RBs are completely unproven, the WRs are an unknown and most of the fanbase didn't feel the OC hire was the best hire.

We play at auburn this season. Check the history...
Not saying we can't win, but it's certainly a tough game every time we go there

Craziest tHing I heard on sports radio today is FPI sees LSU as a 6-6 team which is ridiculous and won’t happen but just to be said about LSU is astounding.

And we know one of those six wins will be over Moo U.

I was about to ask what he has done in college or the SEC, but then I finally noticed the play on words.

Honestly, anything is possible with a new qb, new RBs and basically new WRs under a new OC with a hard schedule. I think LSU's D will be pretty stellar though because the D-line will take a major step up, so I think they won't need a lot of points to win.

They lost their best OC since Jimbo. Their QB wasn’t good but it’s been better than most of the guys they’ve run out there lately. They ran out of star RBs. And their OL last 2 (or 3?) starters.

This is going to be the worst offense in a long time for LSU. They better hope their D carries them.

Thats not true. Canada statistically, didn't do better than E did previously in 2016... HE just like, had sweet motions....

Brennan is good, or you just dont look at tape.

We did lose two starters, but all of our freshman played significant time last year. Plus adding the Juco depth LSU's Oline is the deepest its been in many years.

We also have very good RB's, just need to see SEC play first.

You've laid out nothing to predict that. Jordan Jefferson 1.0 or 2.0 is not running out of the tunnel.

Yes

About what?

A 10 win season would be the first since 2013

You say that like anyone would feel different at the end of 2015 if we beat McNeese State for a 10th win.

You have to actually have a good season to have a good season. Win a big bowl. Beat ranked teams.

You do realize that Rankin missed 5 games last season, right?

Didn't state finish the season 3-2 with one of those wins against UMass?

did you though? You lost to Ole Miss and tried your best to lose to 4-8 Arkansas

Like who?

And what fan base isn't at least somewhat excited about their team every Spring?

Also, losing Etling is a huge upgrade. Regardless if he was a 2 year starter. He was incredibly limited.

Why are you even posting this thread about LSU since they won't even be good? Majority of LSU fans are not as excited as usual because of O.

First off, E simply called plays. E also had a VERY loaded LSU team with both Guice AND Fournette at times.. He has faced an even weaker SEC that season.. and the 2 games against the only decent defenses he faced.. LSU had no offense. 0 points against Bama at home.

Canada had a weaker offense and was actually installing his system in his first season here. He was also handcuff by O at times.. which went against the very reason he came to LSU, besides money.. freedom to run his offense.
