Why are some LSU fans so optimistic about their offense in 2018?

Yall lost a 2 year starter at QB in Etling, an all SEC Rb and his backup, an NFL WR as well as a solid starting WR, a 2/3 year starting FB/H-Back/TE, and 3 offensive linemen.

Not to mention you are replacing your OC for the third year in a row. And O simply promoted the TE's coach

Am I missing something here?

3 QBs, 2 highly rated as HSers. One with considerable time within the program (McMillan)

Talented young RBs galore and vets like Brosette and baby Fournette

Deepest WR corps in a very long time with guys like Jonathan Giles and young talent like Terrace Marshall and Jamarr Chase

Young, talented OL, with no apparent depth issues

Good question, I was wondering the same exact thing.

Same reason why State fans think they will be improved on offense even though they lose the only offensive lineman worth a shite on the team. Qb will be running for his life leaving the offense one dimensional.

Not saying State will be an easy W for anyone, but the fans are far too optimistic.

Is Lanard better than Deandre Swift?

And is it pronounced Laynerd or La-nard?

You do realize that Rankin missed 5 games last season, right? we did fine without him last year and will do fine this year as well.

He won't start. Probably won't play any. I included him in the veteran category for a reason.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire will the the starter.

Is that one of those 5 star guys? Probably not but he doesn't have to be.

If he is the starting RB and Brennan the starting QB yall are in for a LONG, LONG year and O will be gone after the Bama game.

Which fans are you referring to? Pretty sure the majority of the fans on tRant are in panic mode regarding our programs future.

Every time I watched State all I saw was protection breaking down. You were pretty one dimensional last year versus any defense with a pulse.
