They realized they stepped in it big time and Sankey wasn’t fricking around so they blinked, came hat in hand at the midnight hour and asked forgiveness. Now let’s see what punishment they except

LSU: "We are going to put ex-NFL players on our roster."

SEC: "No you're not."

LSU: "Ok, well, we won't roster them, but we'll hold two spots for them so it's obvious that we still intend to go around league rules."

SEC: "You do that and we'll kick you out."

LSU: "Yes sir. We won't do that after all, sir."

LSU fans: "We won!"

LSU shouldn't "except" any punishment, and I don't think they will.

You can't punish institutions that didn't break rules.

Exposing how stupid and lazy Sankey is on the record is a win.

Look for the SEC to change what relief they are requesting. They're also likely wanting to wait and see how tomorrow's meeting goes.

Probably negotiating behind the scenes.

Again, this lawsuit had nothing to do with LSU overall.

It had to do with whether the SEC could punish members for actions they disagree with, even if state courts ruled it is ok.

It wasn’t to kick LSU out, it was whether they had the federal court backing to do it without repercussions.

LSU bending the knee would have zero impact on whether that still had merit or not.

The SEC lost by postponing this lawsuit. They still don’t have the power to discipline and enact standards without potential reprisal.

At the very least, LSU exposed Sankey and some of the conference members. LSU won.

Hmm. You’re forgetting about the SEC not getting some federal legal relief that they wanted.

The Louisiana Congressional reps shut it down.

You see the fed case didn’t even happen. The SEC is in no better position than last week.

I didn’t say that they won anything, but I guess it was preventing the two players from being rostered on LSU’s team.

I'd accept nothing less from an Arkansas fan.
