Kiffin and Pittman are the only two contenders here. They are both +3 Coach Effect on the season, while Leach is only +1.

Stoops is +2.

Kirby and Saban are also both +1.

Harsin and Beamer are both at 0.

Jimbo is at -3.

Mullens is at -4 (that shite gets you fired)

Orgeron is at -5 (already fired).

Sarkisian is at a whopping fricking -6 and we still have 2 games left. He could have one of the worst seasons ever for a coach in the last 20 years.

Burch Jones at Arkansas State is also at -6 on the year.

Seems to me that Mizzou and Ark are going HS heavy, build a foundation type program building. Leach only cares about QB in recruiting and enough weapons on the outside. Lane is literally doing the NFL thing where the portal is FA and HS recruiting is the draft. We may be down on the rankings but bring in 10-12 guys that play significant minutes next year in the portal. I'll take that all day.

Cool just like Bama to come in and steal the accomplishments of others when they aren’t even in the running.

You do you, but that doesn’t seem good for a long term plan. That seems more of a patch for an incoming coach or a recruiting cycle full of busts.

Pittman is a combined 3-1 against those two.

I would have agreed with you 3 years ago. I think the landcape of college football is changing. Why take a 3 year project out of HS when he can go to a group of 5 school for 2-3 years then go to a power 5 school? If you can't come in and help in year 1 or 2, schools like OM would rather get payers that are trying to jump up a level or talented guys at the top 10 or so schools who couldn't get on the field and want playing time. That is the plan Kiffin is going with. It worked like a charm this year.

MLB - Campbell (Maryland)
LB - M. Robinson (SEMO)
S - Springer (Navy)
WR - Pearson (W. Kentucky)
C - Umana (Utah)
S - Reese (UGA)

All 3 have changed the dynamics of the west division. But who can sustain?

Lane will leave, Leach will be up and down because Leach and Pittman will have good teams with a high floor but low ceiling is my guess.

Tell me you know nothing about Leach, without telling me you know nothing about Leach.

The dude values O-Line more than of any position on the offense. Sure, you have to have QB's and WR's as well to run his air raid but that dude knows where it all starts and it's in the trenches.

If he can elevate the team talent at State the same way he did at Tech & WSU then things could get exciting in Starkville.

My only concern is could he still get defensive talent and so far, he seems to be doing that very thing. We shall see though, it's going to be fun for someone. I plan to be watching.

I am curious about defense as well. That has always been a knock on him is the defense.

You have to be able to play D in the sec. Freeze was not able to maintain the defense, built a hell of an offense and scored a ton of points but defense lost it for them.

I like what Kiffin has done on D as far as growth, they are actually looking decent at times late in the season. While the offense looks like it is regressing. Corral not being 100% is probably the main reason for that.

He's a great coach and I think his program running intangibles have come a long way since USC, but he 100% makes bonehead decisions in game.

Lane singlehandedly kept A&M in the game this past weekend. Rebs should've been up 28-0 at halftime.

Yeah, Kiffin inherited a ton of talent from those Matt Luke Ole Miss teams. Also, don't forget Corral was benched for Plumlee before Kiffin took over.
