he's not a great passer but he's good and a great runner.. the guy is a career 61% 2400 20 TD guy in a very heavy rush offense.. he doesn't complete all his throws but I haven't seen anyone who does.. He never gets credit for his great throws because some of the Bama arse hats are waiting to gripe about an incompletion. Bama has never had a QB as special as Jalen and folks are acting like he's chopped liver.

You don't go 25-2 being a bad QB ask 7SU they've been a QB shy of greatness forever it seems.. that's basically been the only difference between the 2 teams the last few years. Jalen is awesome and if you don't think he is.. EAD lol. Daboll was a horrible coordinator for Jalen's skill set and he still put up big numbers.

Passing? 148 yards a game is big numbers?

It's okay Jalen. You can go play somewhere else.

exactly, hence he "can't pass". Go look at the stats from every BIG game he's played in. They're pedestrian at best.

he's not chopped liver, he just can't pass as well as the QB for the #1 team should be able to. He's made his entire career by being excellent at scrambling. He's a good QB, he's not a good passer.

I think otherworldly defense, elite running backs, and 1st rounders at WR might have a liiiiiiiittle somethign to do with that record

you think the only difference between bama and LSU the last few years is QB play? FFS

Hi Jalen.

Why are you wanting to transfer then if you're so great?

I'm a huge Jalen fan, but at best his ability as a passer is sub-par.

While he has a strong arm and can make some great throws on occasion, he also makes just as many bad throws and usually takes way too long to let go of the ball. He also never seems to step up in the pocket causing him to take some unnecessary sacks each game.

Look, Matt Mauck worked out good for us back when we had Saban, but when LSU fans list their greatest QBs, he's probably not going to make a top 5 list.

So I understand you like Hurts, but don't get carried away.

He’s got an arm and can make all the throws but he makes poor decisions (doesn’t find the open guy and checks down or runs too soon) and isn’t consistently accurate.

I feel bad for Jalen. His dad just killed Jalen's chances with this team. Saban should tell him right now so he can transfer and start learning another system immediately.

ETA - he isn't half the qb Tua is

Have you seen our Oline? What about DLine?

How about our kicking game?

Wr's since OBJ and Landry left?

We were more than a QB away from greatness.

Exactly, we won a ton of games with shitty QB play but we knew our QBs were shitty. Jalen Hurts is not good. Alabama's defense and overall talent mask his deficiencies. Jordan Jefferson went like 25-6 as a starter and would have likely been 34-6 had he not been suspended the first half of 2011. He was awful. His record as a starter doesn't change that

JJ is the perfect comparison for Jalen. The OP can try to pump his stats but they're not impressive and are even inflated. Aren't like a third of his completions pretty much behind the LOS?

When Tua threw the game winning pass in the NC game the wide receiver was between the 22-20 yard line. He caught the ball around the goal line.
Had GH thrown that pass the wide receiver would have been on the goal line when the ball left his hand and both the CB and Safety would have been fighting over the ball when it came down in the end zone.

That is the difference in the two Qbs. As beat up as we were going into the AU game if Tua had started I feel like we would have won.

But that's just one man's op.

It is impressive to have that low of a completion% when your avg pass doesn't cross the line of scrimmage
