Was he a better athlete than Herschel? I think they're pretty damn even. Yes Bo played baseball and football professionally and was an all-star and pro-bowler once each. Walker was obviously a pro football player but also was an olympic bobsledder, competed in MMA at almost 50 years old (and won both matches), is a black belt in Taekwondo, performed at the Dallas ballet ( ), and was a two-time AA on the Georgia track team. Herschel and Bo are both unicorn athletes

I'm not an Auburn fan, but I agree with you, too!

Yeah, Bo and Herschel are easily 1A and 1B on most any list you can concoct for them.

I've always leaned towards Herschel being the greatest RB in SEC history, while Bo is the greatest athlete in SEC history. But they're so close together that it's just splitting hairs and most people's choice for 1A or 1B is just a personal preference thing.

They're both freaks of nature and it's insane the SEC had them stacked on top of each other in the 80's.

It's either Herschel or Henry.

I'll agree. As great as all 4 are, Bo amazed me in ways the others didn't.

That said, if you had one of the four to cheer for, you were damned lucky.

Walker then Jackson. After that difficult to say....Henry, Emmitt Smith maybe. Different time but Billy Cannon was dominating.

Henry had the greatest single season ever, but a lack of utilization while being behind other starters means his career numbers will never be in the discussion against other players.

I always throw Kevin Faulk in the mix. Maybe I'm a homer because Faulk was basically my childhood hero as a football player, but he had a great disservice by playing on some bad football teams. However, he's still 4th all-time in career rushing yards, 4th in yards from scrimmage, and 1st in all-purpose yards (2nd on a per game basis behind Walker but holds the top two single season records at 191.7 and 191.3). He just never seems to be mentioned when discussing all-time great running backs and should be IMO

Walker. He would plow through players like they were rag dogs. My favorite is the ND game where he flew over the pile at the end zone. Fun to watch

According to Sportsreference.com... Kevin Faulk has more career rushing yards than both Bo and Emmitt. The only backs ahead of Faulk are Herschel, Chubb, and McFadden.

Emmitt is not in the top 10..

LSU has 3 backs in the top 10.. Including Alexander, Hillard and Faulk. Georgia has two...

Arkansas, , Auburn, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Florida each have one in the Top 10

Put me down for Leonard Fournette. Not including him shows your bias.
