Easy answer:

Danny Wuerffel. His touch on a pass was unmatched in the annals of the SEC. He did not have the arm strength to succeed in the NFL. But on the college level none were better than him in the SEC.

Next question.

Thread.
Over.

Not really...Wuerffel no doubt he was perhaps the most accurate but he didn't always throw the "prettiest ball".So em throw more than one wounded duck.

Wuerffel is probably number one but I’ll go with the hefty lefty #2. After this season we will say Tua.

I always thought David Greene at UGA threw an extremely pretty ball.

I agree with Wuerffel. Spurrier had a few QB's during the 90's that mastered the fades and corners. (Shane Matthews for example threw some beautiful passes). It made them unstoppable until defenses caught up finally.

Joe Namath...had huge hands..snapped it off at his ear and the spiral was a tight as you can get.

This is the correct answer. Most people forget that Namath was actually pretty mobile until he wrecked his knees. He was also a very good baseball player, a Cub draftee if I remember correctly. He threw the deep ball better than any SEC QB I've seen since.

He was also a Pennsylvania high school all-state basketball player. Namath was probably the 2nd best athlete to have ever been at Alabama (behind Charles Cleveland).

With a year of Dooley under his belt, it's got to be Drew Lock

Woodson was going to be my vote. Stafford as well.

If we are talking current SEC QBs it has to be Stidham and Tua. They both throw tight spirals consistently.

Stafford and Cutler have to get recognition for throwing absolute missles that they never seemed to wobble. Rohan Davey had the best touch spiral IMO.

To this day, I can't explain how Stafford throws those sidearm rockets 45 yards downfield. Those throws defy physics.
