Oh, and lol at calling us impatient when yall fired a coach two season removed from a natty.

The situation was very different with O. Similar to what you said about Mullen, he mailed it in. He cared more about banging every Baton Rouge blonde than building a program.

Yall are doing what every elite program would do. If Napier was doing this at LSU we would be having the same conversation.

My argument is that why would lane leave Oxford for Gainesville? He is a made man in Oxford. 3 years is not a lot of time to figure it out and it took lane longer than that to figure it out in Oxford honestly.

Would Kiffin get Spurrier’s stamp of approval considering Kiffin’s former father-in-law played under Spurrier on the Tampa Bay Bandits, and coached under Spurrier at UF in the early 90s?
I bet Spurrier fricking loves Kiffin.

Yes, Gainesville is closer to Boca Raton than Oxford, MS is but it is still a 4.5 hour drive between Gainesville and Boca.

He's done well at Ole Miss by WAOM standards, but he's never won a championship

his resume is better than the last 3 Florida coaches and it’s not close

I mean obviously Norvell would be their #1. He's already nearby, has the Florida recruiting chops, terrific roster management skills and absolutely knows how to pluck transfer QB's from the west coast.

What's not to like?

Supposedly they have a good friendship.
Kiffin said Spurrier was his coaching idol and was always trying to imitate him when he would say sarcastic things about opponents.

I could see Kiffin going to Miami. Kendal Briles to Arkansas with Dave Aranda as the DC. SEC fricked.

Kiffin calling Spurrier his idol implies respect, not friendship. Y’all forget about this? This article implies there was bad blood between Kiffin, Meyer, and Spurrier when Kiffin was at Tennessee. LINK
