Julio Jones is an NFL Hall of Fame lock. I don't see how one could justify putting Derrick Henry ahead of him at this point.

"What have you done lately"

Everyone know what Julio Jones does, hes done it for years but with a team that doesnt do much. Derrick Henry helped that big playoff run this past season and thats what the writer saw. No knock on either player. Henry can be great, Jones already is

DH may have had a better year but Julio has shown a lot more for a resume and also is still pretty damn good 9 years in.

Hunter Henry just became the highest paid TE in the league. I’d go with him over Greenlaw personally.

What’s Jason Peters up to these days? Seems like he’s been in the league for eternity but surely he’s finally done right?

I think he wants to keep playing but hasn't signed with a team yet. He'd have to be the best as far as total career goes.

I'd probably go with Flowers as well, has a super bowl and is one of the better DL in the league. Henry has been hurt quite a bit and Greenlaw has only been in the league for a year. Frank Ragnow might be up there in a few years too though.

Did he really? Didn’t know that, pretty impressive. He was my first thought, but those injuries...

All of these Gump NFL Hall of Famers are better than Julio Jones. Jones is very good and MIGHT make the HOF but these guys are better. Look up recency bias Gumps.

That is a little misleading. He's getting 10.7 M for 1 year due to the franchise tag.

I don't think you'll see guys like Kelce or Gronk trading their 5/47M or 6/64M contacts for a 1 year deal. Even Hooper got 4/42M.

I'll go a step further - not only is it not arguable, I think it was just a lazy pick. You asked for the best player in the league from each program, not who had the best 2019 season. If you're going to promote your own YouTube video, at least do your homework.

I did a lot of homework. It’s how I know Julio has gone from one of the best to nearly outside the top 15 in yac for receivers in the last 5 seasons, it’s how I know he was 52nd in the NFL in catch percentage this past season and 36th after the 2018 season (that is just WR’s), it’s how I know he was 4th in the league in drops last season and has never been the surest handed receiver.

So on and so on. I’m not gonna waste my time arguing about it anymore cuz y’all seem to have a hard on for Julio, but it’s very much debatable.

Hunter is up there but those injuries have limited his production. Greenlaw was a pretty key part of a team who made it to the Super Bowl.

man.... i thought he was retired but quick google says he's still playing. Peters is going to go down as one of the best if not the best Pro-Hog of all time.

Great player. Very consistent. I think he fit better with the Patriots but I'm glad he is getting paid. However, Greenlaw had more tackles and played a bigger role for a better team.

Assuming he actually stays healthy, he’ll get that type of contract next year from someone. He’s clearly got the talent to be the best but just needs to stay healthy.

Context: he lost a bet during LSU game week and pronounced Arkansas = Ar-Kansas. Some of the lesser educated in our fanbase threw a shite fit and disowned him. So if you want an easy way to get at our fanbase simply prounouce the state Ar-Kansas OR talk shite about war memorial stadium.

I have to say, that is a fantastic bet.

What was the other side?

I agree with Kamara....I'd also say Derek Barnett with the Eagles has done pretty well too.

At Julio's current rate, if he plays 8 more seasons then Julio will pass Rice is career yards - while having played in 3 fewer seasons - and that's not accounting for the fact his last 6 seasons >>>> his first three seasons. He'll do it before the end of his 7th season using a more recent trend of his playing.

Only thing keeping Julio out would be some kind of scandal or career-ending injury. In 2 seasons he'll pass Steve Smith for 8th on the list, and he'll pass TO for 3rd in 3.
