That's what Dedra discussed with Krennic in episode 1.

What I'm curious about is Syril's role in this. It's clear that Partagaz and Dedra are keeping something from him, but I don't know if it's the full scope of the Empire's end game on Ghorman or there is something else going on that is probably going to lead to Syril being killed. I don't imagine there is any true affection for him from Dedra, mainly because she's not capable of it. He's a tool for the ISB.

I think there's something there between Dedra and Syril, they were seemingly together well before she got the Ghorman assignment. Though I do think both of them care more about their jobs than each other.

I also think Dedra is still somewhat in the dark of the full scope of what the Empire is doing on Ghorman, and I don't think she's revealed everything she knows to Syril either. He's even more in the dark.

I never realized throughout his career that JJ is kind of a hot head and a dick
The 26 year old thing is so overblown. Since Brees retired they've started eight different guys. If Shough can come in and be a franchise guy, even if it's just for 10 years, I take that one thousand percent of the time.

This boards obsession with the magical number of 40% from 3 is so retarded. There’s nothing wrong with being in the 32-36 range depending on volume. Also believe it or not, it’s possible to be a good college basketball player and not a knock down 3pt guy

34% from three is the average in college ball. If I remember correctly the SEC had like six dudes who shot 40% from three on the volume that Carter did. It's very impressive, and a good get (if we close the deal, though it sounds like we already have).
The guy who wrote these three episodes, along with the Narkina 5 arc from last season, 23 episodes of House of Cards, and executive produces Severance (and co-wrote the second half of S2) is writing James Mangold’s Dawn of the Jedi movie. That’s exciting to me

I mean, that's pretty much exactly what he did at Memphis. Took just over 3 3's a game (hitting them at a good clip) and averaged 5 points a game. He wasnt a distributor, not a rebounder, etc...

Again my concern here is who the heck is starting the 2 for this team? This guy isnt it, and we're talking about looking internationally at this point? Doesnt sound good.

We agree practically 100%, I just don't think this pickup needs to be undersold as it was a very necessary (and good one) as well.

Starter or not, a 6'5 wing that can give you 15-20 minutes a night and shoot it lights out is a positive pickup. I also think his avenues to scoring will be more open here than it was at Memphis where four guys took 77% of the shots. That number for LSU this season was 61% (it's 65% for McMahon's three years here), it was 66% for Florida, 67% for Houston, 66% for Auburn, 65% for Duke, so on and so forth.

The shot distribution for Memphis was incredibly high this season and at LSU you'll see more opportunities for him to get his shot off. Especially with a PG like DJ Thomas, which is another big part of this.

I'm not going to back that other guy up as he's a different player than Bailey, but Carter averaged 5 points a game this season as a 5th year player at Memphis.

Not a quality pickup unless he's coming off the bench. Pretty much all Carter did this year for Memphis was shoot a few threes a game off the bench and thats it. He came form UTSA the year prior where he only started 10 out of 31 games as a 4th year player in D1.

I definitely think he would come off the bench, but give me 5.4 points at Memphis with the shooting ability that Carter brings over the 10.2 points and lack of shooting at Richmond that Dji brought last season, and Dji is a guy that played 31 minutes a night for us last season, mind you.

Carter saw an increase in minutes as the season went on at Memphis, finished the season averaging about 17 minutes a night. Took around five threes a game, hitting 40% of them. I think you're underselling that he just came off the bench and hit a few threes. A high volume three point shooter like that is valuable, and immensely valuable on this team given their lack of shooting. I see no reason he can't come here and do that, if not more, and that wouldn't be a reflection of what we have or don't have. I think he's a good enough player to handle (and earn) those minutes.

We still need a bigger pickup to put on side of Thomas, but Carter was a necessary pickup as well.

Yaaaaawwwwwnnnnn !!!
Another D.J, Bailey lmao

This is idiotic.

Dji Bailey came from Richmond, PJ Carter is coming from Memphis.

Dji Bailey is a career 27% three point shooter, PJ Carter is a career 41% three point shooter.
I don't know why but Bix taking care of the Doctor hit me in the feels
The funny thing about Shough I've noticed is that anyone that actually sits there and breaks down film really likes the guy. Anyone whose forming an arbitrary opinion on him doesn't really like him.
Wife and I tried to go see this last minute on Saturday night, but the theater only had singles available, so we opted to go yesterday at 1:00, and even that theater was mostly full. I've had some pretty full showings since Covid, but that's (almost) always a Marvel film that I'm seeing in the afternoon or at night. In terms of mid day movies, the only one with that sort of attendance I can recall off the top of my head is Top Gun Maverick.

Sort of off topic, I didn't realize during the movie that Pearl is the same actress as the Mayor Bella Real from the Pattinson Batman film and Penguin:

C+ is a laughable grade
It's incredible how often the Movie/TV Board rivals the takes of the Political Board

Yeah admittedly I was a bit let down with this one lol

You guys act like he’s 36
Season after this one maybe, but to say he needs to start and be good this year is just being emotional

I’m not gonna sit here and pretend to know more about QB’s than Moore, Nussmeier, and Tolzien. If they thought enough of him to take him in the 2nd round I’ll go with it

Herb has only been below 80% once.

I feel confident that Dyson's never coming close to Herb's shooting (and that's saying something).

Dyson is not playable late in a playoff game with his Shaq-level shooting

I'm talking about jump shots, not free throws.

I watched the ABC broadcast with the College GameDay crew minus McAfee. Nick Saban and Herbstreit will give the best analysis since they actually watch the college games.

I stopped watching Kiper and ESPN broadcast years ago when he would disagree with the picks only for that player to be better than he had projected. Also he said Jimmy Clausen would be a stud franchise QB and staked his reputation on it. Said he would retire if Clausen is not successful.

I wasn't even aware the Gameday crew was on ABC until I was scrolling through Twitter and saw someone asking what's the point of the draft having two different broadcasts on ESPN and ABC, but I switched over and watched the last few picks on ABC.
