Not sure if you know but UF has some of the wealthiest boosters out there. They just have to be bought in. They can cough up the money. Lane has plenty of the Florida ties. He’s not exactly the family man, so I wouldn’t put too much thought into his kids being at Ole miss. UF has plenty of sorority girls for him.
Ole miss has a Mickey Mouse stadium and facilities. Gainesville is in desperation mode. They have to get a proven guy. Lane is UF scumbag written all over him and I think the boosters will welcome him happily.
Also, Fsu shows the reliance on the portal. You still can’t rely on it which lane has to at Ole miss. This is probably he most talent Ole miss will ever have and they are still no where close to championship caliber

Stadium is being torn down one side at a time and being rebuilt over the next decade. Our facilities are FAR from “Mickey Mouse”.
As if players give a frick about that though. If they get paid, they don’t care what kind of stadium they play in. Get with the times gramps

Your stadium holds 60k currently? Bigger highschool stadiums out there. Doing a renovation and it’ll still stink. UF is literally doing double the cost as well. Facilities are dog shite, and if you think there’s been a more talented ole miss team that’s sad. All that talent leaves at the end of the year with a bunch of one year mercenaries.
If Lane wants a national championship, UF has already proven that. Long ways to go at Ole miss. Won’t even win the SEC this year. Something y’all haven’t done since the Vietnam war?

He's sober, been in a long term relationship, has his daughters living here, he moved his parents here (R.I.P. Monte), and Knox is actually moving to Oxford to live with Lane after this school year and will be playing HS football at Oxford highschool.
