Notre Dame says hi.

They are the only team that can do this and it is only because they have a national following of Catholics. No other team, not Alabama nor LSU can pull off the same national coverage that Notre Dame can. They are the lone exception.

If all of the big boys left (Bama, UGA, LSU, TENN etc) then fAggie might actually win something

Doubt it. They’d find a way to aggy it up.

Notre Dame is affiliated with the ACC in every sport except football. Yes, even NDame cannot go it fully alone.

Nd could definitely go it alone, they joined for all other sports bc scheduling is a nightmare for AD’s especially the non football sports. ND being a partial member of big east and then the acc is a relationship of convenience not necessity.

I’d love to see these leave & form their own conference:

Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
LSU
Mississippi
Mississippi St
Kentucky
Tennessee
Vanderbilt.

IIRC TheCAW has claimed UF's UAA was going to try this to get us out of the SEC to further kill football

They should call it the Southeastern Conference.

We probably should leave. It's clear our athletics department does not care about winning, but I guess they'll happily sit by being bottom of the barrel collecting a paycheck.

Those tired of the burden of counting all of that money. It is cumbersome, I suppose. Last year it averaged $72.4 Million per SEC school.

That's a really sloppy written article. For instance, he talks about the SEC going from 12 teams to 16. What he should have said was the SEC is advocating the CFP go from 12 to 16 teams. The schools threatening to leave aren't wanting to leave the SEC, they want the SEC to leave the NCAA. This is just a bad journalist.

Agreed, and not surprising these days.
