I knew our hype train would pick up steam lol i still think we go 10-2 max in the regular season this year. Even we were to some how beat UGA or cLemson, we are bound to slip up once or twice elsewhere.

I think some people in this thread are very unclear on what the definition of "unrealistic" is.

How in the world is it 'unrealistic' for a fan base to expect a team that won 9 games in the prior year, and brings back almost the entire team, to win at least 9 games again?

MSU could very realistically win 9 or 10 games this year. They will be favored in every game except Auburn and Bama (and -maybe- @ LSU).

Why would MSU fans expect 7 wins with this team?

You will note we left both of the years blank on that trophy.

If we were laying on the pressure it would have said "201X NCAA National Championship."

As it is he has about 80 years before that trophy is a liar.

And from an outside perspective, many don't think Moorhead isan upgrade from Mullen. I think being able to hold par and or exceed expectations will be a challenge for him- hence the unrealistic expectations

So you think 9 wins is an “unrealistic” expectation for a team that return 18 starters from a 9 win season. I get the coaching argument, but coaches coach, and players play. I’m not sure you fully comprehend the word “unrealistic.”

We return like 17 starters and WILL be improved. You can't really go down when you're at the bottom, only way is up. People are just saying that they don't see a big jump in State because State is near their ceiling. 9 wins is pretty impressive for not being Alabama, Auburn, and LSU. There is a lot that could go wrong to decline from last year's success. And this isn't me saying Arkansas will win mad games, just giving an example. Not here to start pissing matches.

As a passionate LSU fan, I think I have more than enough experience to CONFIDENTLY say that the idea that coaches coach and players play is fricking retarded.

Perhaps you haven't been watching the amount of talent that has poured through LSU the past 6-8 years... The idea that coaching/scheme is not important is beyond idiotic.
