Historically UT. Past 10 years UGA

UGA last 20 years. Tennessee hasn't won a conference championship since 2001 and only won the East like once since then. UGA 14-6 vs Tennessee in the last 20 games. Tennessee is basically Nebraska South.

LSU won the SEC in 2001.

Uga has More overall wins and more sec championships since neyland left.

Most of those occurring within the last 20 years, which backs up my original point. Between Neyland's retirement and the arrival of Mark Richt at Georgia in 2001, Tennessee had still won more conference titles (8 vs. 7) and just as many national titles (1 vs. 1).

Uga was better than the vols in 70’s,80’s,00’s, and 10’s. Vols better in 60’s and 90’s. That’s a 4-2 advantage for uga, which backs up my original point.

Tennessee Record (1970-99): 250-98-11
Georgia Record (1970-99): 236-108-7

Record wise, Tennessee and Georgia were even in the 70s. Georgia had a clear advantage in the 80s while Tennessee had a clear advantage in the 90s. Which pretty much proves my point that Georgia didn't start to pull ahead of Tennessee until the 2000s.

Georgia though is better at stealing and torching Auburn hats. We've had repeated testimony on here to that.

‘ Tennessee is much like a rising LSU in the East, getting better and better with each game while GA struggles to maintain the Perception of being Elite.’

This is a joke right? UT hasn’t beaten an SEC team with a winning record in forever and they lost to Georgia F*cking State LAST YEAR! Their ‘amazing recruiting’ is a bunch of 3* placeholders they are desperately trying to recruit over already.

How about we see if they can hang with Florida before we crown them the new kings of the SEC?

Uga wins 4 out of the past 5 decades. That’s 50 years. Vols have been very old news outside of that fluke 90’s run.

Now this belongs in the cherry picking HOF. You're including one of UGA's worst and UT's best decades in the last 50 years.(The 90's)

i agree with you. However this is literally all this board can think about without running out of brain to work with.

Since Phil retired Tennessee has gone the way of Nebraska, or worse. At least Nebraska threw a few 10 win seasons in there. UT has none since Phil. And have won more than 8 games only twice.

Historical it is Tennessee and this is not close.

Georgia is in a close race with LSU for 3rd place in the SEC right now, all time.

agree. But at what point do we agree Tennessee has gone full Nebraska and will never be back?
