All of the top SEC teams will be joining a super conference. So what will Mizzou do, return to the Big 12?
Being one of the top SEC teams I guess we will have a choice.
What happens to the bottom dwellers?

GTech thought they were bigger than the SEC when they left back in 1965. 13 years later, they came crawling back only to be denied by the Mississippi schools. Alabama would be the same-success at the beginning of their independence, then be average and begging to rejoin the conference a decade after leaving.
I wish GTech hadn’t threw a hissy and left the conference.
I don’t think anyone will leave…

The SEC is not really the SEC anymore and hasn't been now for some time.
I don't know if you've noticed...
but NONE of the conferences are "the same anymore"... and haven't been for a long time.

Texas for sure.

I think if Notre Dame leaves their agreement with the Big 10, they should join the Big 10 and take Missouri with them to round things out with an even number.
SEC can fill the space with UNC or Clemson.

So tell me, what is the real benefit to being in a strong conference now and doing these things?
You aren't in if you don't play in a strong conference. 5 of the 12 team field is from this conference. That happens because it is strong.
Your mentality is indicative of your program under Deboer...soft. Like sliding behind the LoS. Just go join the Big 12 and be done with it.

I'd get rid of them just because they're Texas. The school presidents/chancellors must have been shite-faced drunk when they admitted them. I'll never be okay with them being in the conference and I don't think anyone over 30 right now ever will. Their only hope is that over the next 15/20 years the younger generation forgets about what a fly-feeding pile of selfish, peanut-riddle dog shite they are.

Before a school leaves I think you will see Shankey get replaced first. The reality is he is a worthless piece of shite who has done a lot of harm to the SEC. Further more in a landscape that has dramatically changed he has done very little to ensure that the SEC is ahead of the other conferences in terms of innovation and NIL adaptation. It's time for him to go and find somebody who can run the conference the way it was intended to be ran.. and not be Texas little bitch.

I could see Mizzou leaving for the Big 10 if they got an invite. They are culturally a better fit in the Big 10.

Rumor on another board was that there were discussions with the Big 10 about bringing Texas A&M and FSU aboard.
There are mixed feelings among the Texas A&M people though

A&M would be a good fit with the B1G. So would Texas if we are honest. However, OU is not and those two are hand in hand for some reason.

Absolutely
And from what I understand, there was some resentment about being left out over the Texas vote
Who knows if this has any real legs or not. It was posted by an Aggie poster with some inside info this last summer

Not that they'd "leave", but I'd be fine kicking out mizzou. Just such a weird fit.

Vandy would be a better fit in the ACC.

The SEC isthe super-conference. Moreso with sixteen teams now, but it has always been one to stir envy among the other conferences. No, the top teams of the SEC will not be leaving to go to another conference, or even to create a new one. The SEC is heritage and history. Unfortunately, at its current membership level of sixteen institutions, it appears that the bloodline has been somewhat contaminated by paupers, pretenders, and parasites.
I don't intend to be mean-spirited about it, but Mizzou really would be a much better fit in the B1G, Texas should go back to their historic roots as The Lonestar State and create their own "Lone Team Conference" so they can bluster and blow all day long about how great they are without having to worry about blowback from the other teams.
SC and Arky have been in the SEC long enough to assimilate, and A&M actually fits in surprisingly well. And, oddly enough, apart from the geographic stretch, Oklahoma is sliding into position fairly well as an SEC team.
Basically, I see two teams departing at some point based upon cultural differences (Mizzou), and exaggerated pride (Texas). The rest are fitting together fairly well.
